My mom used to paint gigantic wall-sized banners with oil from pictures in magazines. She had to eat something though, so she would normally paint them in a week instead of 140 days. Still great progress from old masters days who did it in 5 years.

I think numerically categorizing people from the worst to best is weirdly vague. The best at what? Are they the smartest, the most ethical, the most successful? It kinda got me thinking that meaning is subjective. That what people value in themselves or their lives is different for everyone. If we make our values more accessible, we can be happier. But maybe I’m misinterpreting the question lol.

I agree! This question is designed to be pretty controversial at first glance. I do not believe this hypothetical could exist as i propose it does. This question is designed so the person answering inherently reveals the unique morals that guide them. There is so much nuance in conversations you have around this question. A lot of what I have to say is available for those interested. the video before this one on this channel. if you disagree with me, I would not do so particularly heartedly before considering what I have to say over there. I've just spent 5 months with 1 question. It is a lot more than just a number (for me, at least).

This is such an interesting question! I think we all start at number 1 gradually lose track of our true identity and gradually slide down to 100 ( even if we don' t realize it).......and then at some point in the course of our lives we start working our way back to number 1 again. That way I'd say we all get to experience the whole spectrum. Now, how far we choose to remain at any one number is a different kettle of fish!

When I look at this painting, I feel as though I was getting a direct screenshot of how your brain interpreted, or a photo of your dream, as you answered this question on the 100... i could see them floating across the canvas, a smooth, flowing list of bodies, like watching them move weightless in space, turning slowly as they moved from one person to the the next... what a beautiful way to capture the answer to a pensive, but yet logical question... who are the 100 people in your life that have affected you, from best to worst...v

This is absolutely amazing. The numbers/rankings seem like they’re grouped too tightly. They don’t seem random enough. Lots of people close to 30 and 50…is there a reason for that?

Every single figure in this painting is a real person in my life. The numbers are their real answers, asked in private settings. When I ask other people, there tend to be a lot of 30's/50's answers. its a pretty in-offensive answer, so I think that explains some of it.

Yes! I have no where else to paint however. When it comes to painting it or not, I choose to paint. Modern materials are much less hazardous than they used to be.

What is interesting is The comments were glowing for this artist. But when I went to the channels of the commenters. 99% of them have no content. They have not produced any work. So what is subjective are those who know nothing, love this. The balance is off. The figures don’t relate to each other. What is the name of this work? He is clever. Knows how to paint. To me, 1-100 means You may change your clothes 100 times when you are away from your canvas and paintings, but when you go back to painting it is better to wear the 1 same clothes. It sounds like a uniform, perhaps but behind this story, meaning..be like enterpreneur, get sosialize, meet some people do more bussiness, after that back to your own imaginary world, in same studio uniform.
