I see this as an illustration of your overflowing love energy as a 19 year old. If you would choose to go to an art school, I would recommend an old academic style, not the modern ones, they would destroy your love for figurative academic painting. Very talented!
@johntaylor62115 ай бұрын
I Agree entirely. I went to Oxford degree and they totally destroyed my love of Art . Was so much Art theory that it drained me and left my mind scrambling and argued with myself about what Art was . Also was bombarded with Feminist views from Tutors and Female students. I couldn't question anything they said without being called chovanistic . When really I was just asking simple questions so that I could learn. In the end I gave up asking anything about anything. I did graduate but I lost myself and the talent that actually got me to university in the first place. So my advice would be Learn by yourself by experience and experimental processes and just keep pushing yourself to be brilliant.

You have such a beautiful and well formed style. If you do decide to move forward in your education, I would simply hope that your love of art isn't stifled. Whatever your course, please never lose who you are ❤

I wish you put this pic on phone cases or in places where folks who cant afford your art could enjoy a taste of it. I would love to have a mug so i could enjoy it when i drink my coffee. I have been struggling with depression and your art lifts me out of that place. It inspires me to want to create. I would buy a mug if I could.

Good luck. Wonderful effects. I hope the multiple mediums hold up over time. Then again this might be like a fine wine and improve as the materials break down. Live like a monk, save like Scrooge Mick Duck, and avoid wage slavery. We need artist like you.

i really like your style!! I do want to ask tho if there is any particular reason you only put the linen into the canvas after you started your painting?
@tailsjekel_art4 ай бұрын
This was actually the 2nd canvas I worked on. I decided to size down, and i had to wait for the bars to arrive. I was eager to start painting so I worked on the acrylic underpainting before they arrived. the whole process is documented in the video before this one on my account!

Do you wait until the colors dry to put on a new layer or different colors or do you work seeminglessly one after another? Amazing work and thank you
@tailsjekel_art3 ай бұрын
I paint when I feel like painting. Sometimes the process goes more quickly and I create some interesting textures alla prima (wet on wet). If the paint is dry, then I tend to gravitate towards more dry-brushing techniques, which can help me assess harmony and rework larger color relationships. Also, sometimes I work into tacky, or partially dry paint, which is a fascinating process all on its own. Combining all of these techniques (which I usually discover during the session) one on top of the other can create some incredibly interesting surfaces for the viewer. This is most appreciated in person.

This is a self portrait, and I don't want to share that right now. I already feel quit vulnerable in this portrait, since I am non-binary and I don't like showing my chest. I hoped to depict a queer body in all of its glory, however the chaos of gender dysphoria is still made visual.
