Thank You so much for all your creative sharing and fun ideas!!! I am crocheting right along with you and it’s like having you on zoom with me. You make everything so much fun. I currently live in Washington state in the United States and can’t tell you how excited I am to create my first dollhouse. I’m starting small doing the crocheting first because I have materials already and then I will move along to bigger things and putting things together. Your tutorials are absolutely fabulous. Thank you thank you thank you, did I say thank you cause I meant THANK YOU!!! great big bunches of hugs and lots of love, Kathleen Johnston

You are absolutely Wonderful ! One can hear the calm confidence and encouragement in your voice. You give us a “I never doubted that you could do this!” In your voice without saying it in words. I would never have even tried this pattern in “Big-people” size but now I can do it! I was first challenged to look at trying 1:12th after finding a doll made from a chicken wishbone at a country yard sale. It has a long dress down to the 2 wishbone feet and even a bonnet on it’s upper wishbone head. She has crocheted arms. A bag in her hand, and ruffles made like your flower petals around the bonnet and dress. It’s crocheted in sewing thread in a now faded grey- blue. Grandmother had no money but she had more than enough love for her granddaughter to make up for it ! I am in North West Ohio, USA.

I don't think I could ever do the 1/12th scale as my eyes aren't that good anymore, but the real life size I might attempt. It looks so complicated when finished, but when you break it down to the smallest sections, it gives me inspiration! I truly enjoy listening to you explain each step and watching your videos. I would have to improvise on a few things, but that's the beauty of hand-crafted items, you always have options to put your own stamp/style on them. Thank you for being so thorough!

Working on this pattern for a full bed afghan. Not sure of size yet but had to try. I also just read my last post didn't realize the throw I made and finished, I am very happy with the results. I am really enjoying this. I can crochet but I am fairly basic. I think it's really helpful that you did it in the bigger scale to show because I like to practice things so that I know exactly which stitches I am using before attempting it with finer thread on a smaller hook. I think you have shown that it isn't really difficult, it's just a matter of practice and finally using the smallest hook you feel comfortable with. Luckily I do much of my miniatures in 1/6 so I won't have to find out exactly how bad my eyesight has become lol! Thanks again, my 1/6 dioramas will look so much better for this.
@JulieWarren5 жыл бұрын
It really does help to learn the pattern in full size and then work down the hook sizes. For 1/6, you can use a slightly thicker thread, which helps too.
@Foxiepawstotti4 жыл бұрын
I am slowly working my way down hook sizes and I just managed the flower and leaves on a 1mm hook (size 1..the one after. 75 which is still beyond me, I did get lost in the looks at the back though when I got around to where the leaves were doing the surround...never mind I am getting there and you're such a great teacher!

Your miniature afghan throw is lovely! Thank you for the inspiration. I hope to make one in 1:12th scale (my collection) and in 1:6th (for a Barbie collection I am compiling for my youngest granddaughter). 💕 Thank you so very much for sharing your time and expertise with us all. I finally finished the blue, green and white afghan. I did it in purple, lavender and white ( I used .06 hook and 80 thread) I still have to sew my squares together but am happy with the end result. I am now making a bunch of centers for the flower afghan in a variety of colors. I am using .075 hook and 80 thread when I feel happy with my centers will move on to the petals and finish one. Then I will try with my .06 hook. I'm self taught and I am having a ball just ordered 5 or 6 threads from your Etsy shop. May get .05 next not brave enough yet. LOVE YOUR TUTORIALS.

A beautiful bedding set. It would even be so for a full-size room. However, I was watching why you glued everything together? It would be more fun to change things up with the seasons or to wash the little bedding when it gets dirty.
@JulieWarren11 ай бұрын
If you don’t want to glue your bedding down you don’t have to. I’m just showing you how I do it. I don’t dress the rooms for different seasons and I’m not sure what you mean about it getting dirty - it’s not going to be slept in! 😂

Very helpful instructions. But once glued to bed it can’t be replaced. Is it necessary to clue to wood. Don’t want to damage my miniature bed
@JulieWarren8 ай бұрын
Thank you. You don't have to glue it to the bed, that's just how I do it as once made, I won't be changing the bedding in future.

Hello Julie from USA. Have a question. On part one I didn't see how you cut the frame of the bed and the measurements of the conners to fit the head bored. Could you collaborate on this please thank you! Love your work!!
@JulieWarren3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rita, I cut all of the pieces using my swann morton craft knife. The corners to fit the frame are formed when you glue the third strip to the top of the frame. Hope that helps.
