Thank you Bob, I have two of these dozers we use on our float for parades. I was just about to install Sabertooth motor controllers to enable on stick travel operation, I will try the mixing. I also had tried to mix the pump to the hydraulic operation, but not the way you demonstrated. So, that is today's exercise. One note: if you want to run this for several hours, you may want to open the final drive cap and loctite the screws holding the drive cap and the internal plate that has countersunk screws. That failed on one of our dozers and it destroyed the final drive planetary. Had to buy two replacement final drives from Eagle and that was a $500 repair. Also, there is a guy in Austalia that tig welds up new blades that are correct for this dozer. He also builds the correct handrails.

Thank for the heads up! I will check my screws right away. Yes the mixing is great and saves you from having to purchase a new esc.

What a thoroughly excellent video! I don't know if it was intentional or coincidental, but a real Cat D10T is set up exactly as you have done, where the driving is controlled by the left joystick, and the blade movements are controlled by the right one. I'm going to set up my DXR2 just this way. Thanks!

I have been watching videos of RC construction vehicles for years and that crawler Tractor is by far my favorite. if I had to pick one RC that I wanted the most that would be it> I used to operate Heavy Equipment when I was in the Army and again when I was in the Navy and the one piece of equipment I spent the most time on was a Crawler Tractor. The first one I ever operated was a D7F that originated from Stockton CA about 13 miles from where I was born and raised and it was in Germany Out of all places. Felt like I had a piece of home with me so far away from home. I found the paperwork and original operators manual while replacing the seat one cold winter day. When I was in Iraq I got an upgrade to a D7G. never found where that one originated from, but it was nice compared to the old F model. I grew up running equipment for the Family business. I've been with the Railroad here in California for quite some time now and in about 6 years or so I will be retiring. I really want to own that Dozer when I do. Working on my pilots certificate now so it will be a while. Still waiting for my Grand Hauler to get here. I also drove truck for a while after the military. Sure miss being on and in the equipment. Great video. Sure wish those rascals didn't cost so much. I always wanted to run the Excavators but never did get the chance. Ran Dozer mostly and a lot of backhoe for the family so I imagine the excavator would of been second nature and a ton more power. I enjoyed the excavator video also.I sure do get a lot out of your videos. Thank you.

I really want to travel across the big pond and attend one of those events. have you looked at the Scale Art trucks from Germany? They are so detailed and very pricey.

So I figured mine out, mine is the same but different, it's the new style and it wasn't hard but it had it's moment, my only question is, after you swap wires and all, when adding channel 5 the pump, you just do the mix correct?? Obviously you can't move channel 5 for each channel so I'm assuming all it is, is the mix and it will work with no more wire moving, if my question makes sense, anyways hopefully you see this, if not I'll email you. Thank you!

Thanks the programming help new dozer works much better. Not sure where the rc shop here in northern Alberta Canada got it. I believe supplier in China. Took 1.1/2 months to come in. Supposed to be new version came with lights and sound installed. Same backwards upside down programming. The pump ch5 slaved to blade and ripper very slow and weak. I checked the endpoint on ch5 it was preset at 60percent. I bumped it to 80 didn’t make much gain. And then seem like pump was running to hard when turned on. So I backed it off to 70. Any thoughts on more program tips on these machines and radios like which better setting for trim sub trim or trim?

I kinda want to get my hands on one of these, a Toyan inline twin, and combining the two. I just wonder if I can find hydraulic motors small enough to drive the tracks with. If I can, I'm thinking the engine will be attached to a helicopter governor and set to either idle or maintain a given speed, be belted to the hydraulic pump, and then everything else on the machine is run hydraulically.

I have a question. I followed the instructions perfectly, but when I go forward, the dozer turns. And when I turn, it goes straight. Which makes no sense. So I set channel 4 back to normal instead of reverse, and it appears to have fixed it. Is it possible that the right track, or track 4 was wired in reverse at the factory? I still need to try it properly on the ground.

@19:08 Not super familiar with this brand of Remote ( or rather the OS running on it ) since I'm more of a former -OpenTX- / current *_EdgeTX_* person. Maybe it's because of the slow reaction time of the screen but it looks like CH5 is _proportionally_ tied to CH1/2? Obviously if you don't crank the Stick of CH1/2 to the max then CH5 won't run at full power either ( as compared to manually triggering it ). Does the OS support the ability to crank CH5 to its MAX value regardless of CH1/2's position ( well obviously only once they come out of their dead zones )? 🤔 Doing it like that is how I'd probably set it up on my *_FrSky_*_ Horus X12S_

It is rather incomplete, switching connectors on the receiver should be shown, where the connectors in #3,4 will go? One of mine ESC's is plugged in the sound unit, how would that work? Thanks for clarifying this.
@HobbyconceptsLLC3 жыл бұрын
Just guessing because I have not seen one of the factory sound systems but I assume one speed control plugs into the sound system and then that sound system plugs into the receiver. Problem with that system is that the sound only follows one track. In any case the way I programmed is that the left track speed control plugs into channel 3 and the right track speed control plugs into channel 4. Whichever speed control is plugged into the sound unit would stay there and the sound unit for that track would plug into whichever channel that speed control would have been plugged into. The radio must have the newest firmware updates that gives it 4 mixes. Again not having seen one of those sound systems this is a guess. If you want further information email me (my email is in the video description) and send several high quality pictures of how everything is plugged in.
