1/14 Tamiya King Hauler Dump Truck Build Part 4

If you want to convert a Tamiya King Hauler to a day cab, flatbed truck, tanker truck or dump truck this video series should help. I will be taking a King Hauler/Grand Hauler truck and converting it to an operating dump truck. The finished unit will include an operating dump bed, the Tamiya MFC sound and light system and many other extras. Follow along on this multi part build.

Awesome build cant wait to see it alongside the real one! i would swap the headlights over though as typically you have outer lights as dip and main beam then the inner lights come on for high beam or driving lights!

I had the King Hauler. Didn't have the effects neither trailer. Painted it black. Still was fun to have played it though. Wish I kept it. That's also a nice piece of toy by the way.

Great job , maybe try making the fuel tank a door and putting a battery in each tank so you can open the fuel tank and get the battery in and out.

You talked about making a video about a g.t. power soundkit. I am woundering what sound kits is most popular were you are. In sweden and europe the most popular sound kit are Servonaut and Beier sfr-1, and the MFC is regarded as a beginners kit and not as popular among advanced builders. I have the Beier sfr-1 in two of my trucks (scrath built firetrucks eu style) and a mfc-01 in my first, a ford aeromax.

I will be doing a truck with a Beier in the next few months and a GT Power Pro soon. The Tamiya though is by fa the most popular. Pretty easy to hook up and works just fine.

Hi! Great video, could I ask a question? How did you set the transmission to a 3 position switch? Did you bypass the mfc?

Yes, I plug the transmission servo directly into the receiver.

How would a aluminum dump bed be white ? Would it not be aluminum ( shiny ) ? I believe it's a steal bed painted white by viewing the video. Good video !!!

The bed is aluminum and has been powdercoated white.

My house walls are green. Would thought it should had been white, since the cladding is made from white pine. Have never figured that one out.

Lots of stuff. A trailer for the dump truck to haul and excavator, finishing the Hemmt trailer. Also installing and setting up the GT Power Pro sound/light system. Plus building a Tamiya Tipper truck and a Tamiya M1A2 RC Abrams tank.
