About the built-in missiles I mentioned during the review. I have like a vague memory of those things being missiles in a game, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Over the years, I might've mixed them up with the Sandrock's missiles, my bad lol.

you need to glue the upper part of the leg unless your gonna repaint the leo.ether will work and fix that loose leg problem.i have 10 leos so far and all had that problem until i glued the upper legs together or repainted them

@@Heroduothecomedian I'm doing a custom mashup with those Leo upper thighs and I agree is it loose. From what you said how well does it improve the looseness of it rlly? Funny thing is it's also the left like Kakarot showed in the vid

@@redactedz6146 not to well when just painting unless you plant to leave it in one pose so i use tayima cement glue and put some ina jar with some pieces from the tree the leg came off of and let it eat that plastic so i can have a green glue past to put on the seem line and then let it dry and trim off the left over green glue and then the seem line is gone and the leg is no longer lose at all

Leos are awesome, I loved that in the final battle of Wing it was the ever faithful and reliable Leos sent to put a stop to the White Fang, not some fancy new wizbang last minute new models. It really lent an air of realism to the battle. Libra has to be one of the coolest space battleship designs ever.

Besides an amateur GUNPLA builder, I also like Lego MOC. To be honest, Leo is the most straightforward mobile suit to make in Lego, in comparison with other mass production mobile suits. One extra reason why I like it so much.

Never saw those things around the Leo’s neck ever used. They could actually be flares instead of missiles or they could be simply for communications purposes so they don’t have to wear silly horns on their blocky heads.

@@TheHiddenBoss i'd assumed they were radars and other sensors used for targeting. no minovsky particles in the after colony setting after all, so non-visual sensors actually have a part to play in warfare. they certainly look more like radomes than missiles.

I always wish that there’s a build custom where the Leo uses the whole aries unit as a pseudo ‘Striker Pack’ but i had a feeling if that’s gonna happen then the kit would go off balance.

Leo was my favorite "fodder MS", Just love the shapes and minimalist design. I'd Absolutely give it the Space Leo Paintjob is I was in this hobby.

Just got into Gunpla about a month ago and have been on a crash course through panel lining, painting minor details, top coating, etc. What got me in was a Leo... Which became s-seven Leos (just barely over 10 bucks a pop at a local shop!). Though the full weapon kits are now overpriced, I found an import shop selling them for a *bit* less than you see everywhere else and this review was what took me over the edge on doing it. I grabbed two along with a space type to round out a 10 member squadron with one purple outcast. Thank you! My squad thanks you, too ;_;7 The tip on putting some silver sticker behind the camera was phenomenal, by the way, what a clever suggestion. Thank you for keeping it real.

3:16 YES....that was literally one of the first things you see when Gundam Wing starts. I think they barely show the Leo Mega Beam Cannon in the anime. I think the next time that shows up is when Lady Une is all depressed and she lets her Taurus suit get damaged when they are attacking an Alliance space base or something like that. 4L49 Noine literally killed that guy after he shot his ally for suspecting him of being an OZ member.

Just bought my first gunpla and this particular model (MS Leo) were simple yet many possibilities for movement, or kit even theme like classical army camo paint with numerical or custom military stickers and IT'S NOICE also thanks for the information for the kit, gonna shopping these items by morning, dober gun with shield would definitely nice with trench photo session once again thanks

@@Jakovdred No, it depends on the *Plot* and where exactly the MS in question is during the plot. If its early on its got Plot armor, if its at the end of its usefulness in the plot, plot armor is removed. Pilot's awesomeness has no bearing on things, Tomino has shown us this multiple times...

Yes!! In episode 1 Zechs used a leo with a dober gun and a shield, And he pulled a beam saber in that fight against Wing gundam. Treize later on used a Leo with a shield and beam saber to slay some mobile doll Leo's:)

I recently just built the standard version of this kit and I removed the seam lines on it’s arms and legs and it’s gun. I also painted the inside of the thighs to get rid of the wobble on the balljoints. Now it doesn’t flop around. I always paint the joints on my kits to give them better stability otherwise it would be a floppy mess. So I wonder how many of this kit’s accessories could be passed out to other Leos for a full squad? At least 3 extra maybe?

The Dom variants are quite interesting. For the most part, they are heavy high-speed units. Regardless of the version, the Dom mainly does range shot, quick strike and boost on out.

hollow out a donor TG head and glue it on? I dont really do anything but grunt suits so I dont know what the head construction of the TG head is like, but if its like everything else the pins are on the edges and you can fill and paint gaps if you intend to leave it like that forever, cause I do believe in the anime theres a scene where the head of TG is removed and we see a Leo head under it so the TG head itself appears to be a helmet..

Silly question--but how would you suggest painting gunpla? I know with Warhammer miniatures I tend to use a spray primer, and then paint over that, but for smaller details, or items where I want to keep the transparency of the plastic (such as the Leo's eye, or the clear plastic on the RG Tallgeese), that wouldn't really work.

There were purple ones in the show among space types. At least a redish shade of purple. I think Heero used a Leo of that color in Endless Waltz.

I will say it again: the leo is the best mobile suit design in all of Gundam - if what you really like about the conceit of Gundam is that it presents a real robot story. Related to the model review itself, the robot damashii Leo was great too, but all the extra weapons packs needed to give it even basic equipment was obnoxious p-bandai at its worst.

I would say the Graze from iron blooded orphans, they are basically leos but sharper but the Leo is great aswell

Both are mono-eye, both are mass produced, both are multi-role and both tend to disappear violently in seconds when a Gundam is around or is engaged by another mobile suit... They even have green paint schemes for crying out loud! XD

I mean, can you name me other grunts from the franchise that can't turn its head? The Suit practically draws a large target-mark on its own back and sides of its body.

The Leo is the most realistic prototype mobile Suit. It has a simple design, can be changed for different missions, and it is easy to pilot. But the head is what kills it.

I never knew the Leo had a beam weapon. I thought you had different calibre machine guns and rifles and that's why the Gundams were so effective because until you saw the beam weapons of the Torrez suits the military couldn't get through the Gundam armor.

If this accessory kit was the cost of a leo plus 10 dollars, i would say it worth it. The detail is lacking, there is no complexity, and the construction is basic. But its not an extra 10 bucks. Its an extra 100 bucks in the north american market. Which means no, you dont want to buy it. And if you want good detial, you will have a ton of modding to do. Seriously, if you want a leo with two dober gunds, go get two RG Tall Geese and use theirs. Itll still cost less and you get two tall geese out of it.
