1/144 HGUC Powered GM review

I took my powered gm and put a rx 78-2 head on it a 100mm machine gun, a extra clip and gave it a ground type spike shield and now I have the powered gundam

if you paint or colour the face plate silver it stands out more and looks really nice ive done it to all my gm's including my powered gm which is now my custom powered gundam

The Hi-Powerd GM is definitely one of my top ten GM, but I got carried away and kit bashed him with leftovers from my GM Custom spare part list, and I made the Hi-Powerd GM Custom. Now that should of been a new EFSF mobile suit ^_^

I highly recommend it. For a kit from 2006, it is remarkably modern with its articulation. Might not be a bad idea to get some Build Custom hands to go with it, though, since that trigger finger isn’t the best. Also, be careful with the backpack, as the pegs that connect it to the back are quite small.

They should seriously make the GM Custom high mobility type. It looks AWESOME

This is a very wonderful MS. Glad you reviewed. Strangely Prime92 has a Powered GM, but has never reviewed it. Honestly next to the GM Striker, this thing is one of the best GMs out there.

Prime92 did review it, but she was hacked once and some of her videos were deleted. The powered GM review was unfortunately among them =/ The Powered GM has a really nice bulky feel to it, something none of the other GMs have.

Prime92 is a girl? Could of fooled me. Aw I wish she would reupload it. When I am about to buy one, I watch yours and then hers for a second opinion; which y'all are doing me a big favor, getting me prepared for kits I have questions about. The Powered GM is pretty awesome, so awesome that it is the base of my original Gunpla, already have the first version built and waiting to get another to give it an upgrade. Anyways keep up the good work. Any idea if the Exia Amazing 1/144 is coming out or if the arms of the Dark Exia has new round arm holes instead of the square ones that can't attach anything aside from 00 parts?

Jociaoftrades Hehe, yeah she's a girl. But you're definitely not the only one who was mistaken(as a general rule at least one comment on each video is about that). My mom once walked in while I was watching one of Prime92's reviews and she said "that guy sounds like he's got a bad cold" X) Unfortunately I don't buy 00 models(or 00-related in this case =P ) so I can't help you there.

The Walter's Hobby shop intro didn't help either. Though glad to know a girl that is very interested in Gundam models, that gives hope to me. Darn it, I have a custom that is painted and all, just needs a few more parts and arms that can actually mount the new custom parts that have been coming out. I just hate the idea of buying the Dark Exia just so I can use it for parts when it is actually a good suit. Thanks for the fast response.

Correct me if i'm wrong Kakarot, but wouldn't the fist hand be better to hold the bazooka than the trigger hand? I only say that because my HGUC Kampfer holds it's bazooka's with its fist hands, not its trigger hands.

I was annoyed with the hand and the bazooka as well. All I did was cut some of the front part of the bazooka handle off. Now it can bend further and has no issue getting it over the shoulder. Did the same thing the the GM Type C's bazooka too.

old review by now, but I forget if I asked: is the hand size the same as other GMs? could I swipe hands from other GMs for it to use, or would I need to mod? I guess third party hands could also help, but yeah, really cool GM.

They're the standard modern federation hands (but without a hole for a peg) so yes, you can use any GM hand as long as they're HGUC =P

Anyone notice the original gm has double beam sabers? Is this a modified model or a special kit?

Modified, I used the backpack of the old HGUC RX-78-2 and another GM beamsaber that I had lying around.

Can't show you any pics, but the old HGUC RX-78-2(make sure that you don't get the revive) is a remold of the HGUC GM, so absolutely everything is compatible.

Everything's well and good, but why is the original GM so much taller than the Powered GM? They're both supposed to be 18 meters according to technical specs, so unless you forgot to push down the GM's waist completely, one or both of their scale is very off! For the record, 18 meters at 1/144 scale is 12.5 cm or 125 mm.

If you give the powered gm the same chest proportions as the Vanilla gm it'd be scale accurate, 12 years late but whatever lol.

The original HGUC GM was way too fuckin big.
