I remember when it snowed for two days back in January 2000 in Greenville NC. The day it began was only supposed to be an inch but it kept coming and coming. I want that surprise again lol

We got about 10 inches in Garner, N.C. back in 2007 or 2008. It was cool for a couple of days, but a nuisance as it melted then refroze.

2 feet of snow in Cary in January 2000! The weather forecasters didn’t anticipate having a SNOWPACK when they predicted how long it would take to warm up enough to melt everything! Two weeks of school closed completely. I had a 2 1/2 year old at the time (also 10 & 7 year old)….used the time stuck at home to potty train! 😂

@@missyaltman9815before that Floyd canceled school for two and a half weeks. We had to make it up during the summer. No one did it and they had to pass us 😂 we had five weeks of no school for my freshman year. Great start 😅

How can I track lows when they form off the Gulf in order to get snow in NW GA? During snow the weather man always says "it all depends on how the low tracks" but I never see that broken down - ty

If any part of Florida gets snow ... it'll be TALLAHASSEE. George Winterling used to keep track of how many below freezing we would have decades ago, and some years it would be 35 nights in a row.
