I live in Argentina, and I still have the Ibertren that my grandfather brought me from Spain in 1975, exactly the same as this one, but with many more parts and wagons, two locomotives, one diesel and the other steam. Beautiful, of a great quality all the pieces.

My first train set as a kid was OO, but nowadays, I model in N. You can literally fit twice the layout into the same space!

Even better - it's actually 4 times. An OO layout on an 8ft x 4 ft board can be replicated in N gauge on a 4ft x 2ft board.
