I have the 1/24 TF2 and the frame is aluminum, but everything else is plastic. It's a little bit jumpy too. I took it apart and painted the interior and the body. I would recommend taping the side markers and the taillights. I broke a taillight lense when I tried to remove it. I'm thinking about the Blackrock (Jeep) 1/18.

I hope this version is better than mine. I bought one not long after the original 1/18 scale came out in 2016, the black D90. I love & hate this truck more and more every day. It's great! It's a piece of crap! Upon unboxing one of the shocks was bent. Over the years I've burned through 4-5 RC4WD servos. The ESC burned. The Transmission stripped. thankfully RC4WD replaced these tings But now I've upgraded the motor & the same transmission that you have. I don't really see a difference. The slipper clutch came undone just enough that I couldn't crawl over a ball point pen. I bent the rear axel and now that wheel has broken off. New Yota II axles ordered but not installed yet. New shocks, Bigger tires, interior, my own lights, threw out the all in one ESC/RCVR. But I've never been able to enjoy this truck for more than a battery pack. It looks damn good! And I'm completely over the damn four screws on the bottom to remove the body. I made my own magnetic body mounts. I can't wait to see what your paint skills make yours look like. 00

Im interested to see some run footage. I have a couple FMS 1:18 scale trucks but the performance just isnt there. I know you have to scale everything down. Maybe RC4WD has a winner here.

The Galande 1/18 is the same size as the Axial SCX24’s. Get a lot more hop up and parts availability with the SCX 24’s. You may want to pick up one to compare. Starting at $125 they are a steal.

I've though about swapping drivetrain components from RC4wd 1/18 to the Eazy RC Glacier. Would like to have a bit more performance from the Glacier. My SCX24's run circles around the Glacier but just aren't as scale.

Great video. I was looking at the FMS K10 but might go with one of these instead. Love what you do. I bought my first RC4WD 2 door Mojave kit and will be using a lot of tricks and tips I learned from watching your videos. Thanks for what you do and keep up the great content.

We have front mounted motor and transfer cases and even multi speed transmissions in 1:24 and 1:32. Seems to me 1:18 is falling behind.

I intially didn't look at these due to the price and went with a Panda Hobby Tetra18 X2 and then an FMS Atlas. I kind of wish I had gone with this. After dumping money into upgrading (the Atlas more than the Tetra) I really didn't wind up saving that much money.

I'd go two tone with the paint. An off white body with a dark blue roof and dark blue accents would look sick. 👍👍

Total IH Scout front end, but from the side it does look very early bronco. I much prefer the weight of the RC4WD 1/18s for performance. I have one of the original green broncos. I guess I need to bring it to BTC, but I'll upgrade to my 7PX, a Holmes mini esc, and maybe we can get him to have some motors for us by then. lol This newer version looks like it flexes and does even better than my OG one. We know you're not a huge bronco guy, Mr. Mall Crawler Stellantis. Hahahahaha! :D

Correction! I was wrong. Tail lights are round on the 65 Scout I was thinking of. But even the stock bumpers and the windshield and windows in the top look correct to the Scout.

ever since they updated these I've always been curious and especially for the bronco version but I think that body is discontinued now so the international scout body that you have is pretty nice

I looked at the eazy rc glacier but I went with the fms k10, there’s a big difference between the two on everything and materials. It’d be cool to see a comparison between the fms k10 and the rc4wd 1/18 scale crawlers. I personally love the fms k10 it is so scaled realistically it’s not even funny, and it actually looks like the real truck too.

some times i wonder if any of these rc companies actually listen to us. how hard is it to add more steering angle and a more powerful motor with lower gear ratio. steering and torque. thats it thats all. if it had that then i would own ten of them. axial tho, i must say. they improved the scx24 a lot compared to version 1.

The old green version I have looks way better than this super ugly bright orange of the re-release. I painted a second body red/white, looks very good, recommended. Unfortunately the plastic chrome bumpers break easily. Defender has metal bumpers, much better. Price is nearly 300 € here, about 340 $, crazy

Hey thank you for the video even though it’s not what it was For your set up I’m sure it’s gonna be a a lot more later on at least you took the time to post sorry for the question do you think there’s a large benefit to having your axles mounted over the l leafs on the TF2 I notice they do that over and other countries and they run the Xboxes and Teraflex front and rear as they get just as much flex as we do here. I like things looking stock. I know you do custom builds and you do them well. Thanks again for your time. I am going to hide away my #19 TF2 For when my son gets a little older.
@jeremyoshea79412 жыл бұрын
It’s funny how we like them jacked up here, and over there they seem to understand geometry, do things from scratch and work with a budget. From videos I’ve watched of made in other countries they work with what they have. I have to say I’m jealous lol
@RCeveryday2 жыл бұрын
Really the axle on leaf does get the center of gravity lower and make it look a bit more scale with tiny tires. I haven’t personally done that to any of my trucks though. I try to get them as low as I can. Thanks for watching buddy. Lucky boy getting a sweet tf3 for his first rig. Lol
