I’d love to see you guys do a video series on micro crawlers. Like the SCX24 and Carisma MSA1E and any others in 1/24. Like a review with driving tips and also maintenance and mod videos that also discuss what parts are on the market, what tools and other basics to buy for this scale, and also maybe review warranty response. I’ve read Carisma has great customer service. Also maybe something about adapting non rc bodies to these small scale chassis.

I don’t think people are understanding why these little guys are priced the way they are. You’re paying for a fully “upgraded” (see: metal drive train, links, Yota axles) scaler. Plus you’re getting a hard body. Servo is metal geared, etc. I mean you guys aren’t paying attention if you think this is over priced. Those Yota axles alone are worth the price of entry.

Never been very happy with rc4wd. They are neat, and do something different. I remember picking up a tf2. FIrst time out, drive shafts and front cv took a dump on me with medium use on some mild rock and sand enviorment. Basically, you have to buy mip cvd and their "xvd" to get it to run decent. Their leaf springs loose memory quick too. Then I had to fix the trans, after it was all fixed, it was a nice rig though.

So this video begs 2 questions. Fair warning, they're fairly silly, fun based questions. #1 How long til you get the mini crawler course built in/on/thru the office? #2 Have you considered frankensteining a quad motor to one of the mini cars? I honestly have no idea if the power/torque will power a car vs a quad, but It might be an exercise in hilarity!.

How do you like it?
@combustionpropulsion4883
@combustionpropulsion4883 5 жыл бұрын
@@Drive_On I love it, even with its tiny motor, they geared it down enough that it gets what it needs to done. The whole chassis is aluminum and it gives the truck some weight and durability. The body is super detailed and puts the truck together. The only things I don't like about it is that, 1. The wheels don't turn very much, but after a while you get used to the small turning radius. 2. There is not as much flex as I would like. But it makes it more scale feeling. 3. You have to unscrew the body from the chassis every single time, but the battery lasts forever and there are only 4 screws holding it on so you should be fine (my TRX-4 takes about the same time with all of the light kit wiring) Besides all of that, I love the truck! Unlike 1/10 scale vehicles you don't need a huge space to crawl, your house is a planet for the truck. That is why I wanted one, and really why anyone would get one, because they don't need any space to crawl. It's a fun truck really, but remember this is hobby grade not toy grade, so it will cost more, last longer, and drive better. If you want a 1/18 scale rc that won't go fast but has a good amount of power, get this one.
@combustionpropulsion4883
@combustionpropulsion4883 5 жыл бұрын
Sorry that was soo long, I was trying to be as descriptive as possible. One more addition though, the truck comes with everything you need to get it running, but it doesn't have any stickers or decals applied, so I hope you don't mind putting on stickers if you get this truck. Hope the review from my point of view helped anyone that was still on the edge.
