I had seen quite some people try out this edition of skyblock ( some played in older edition). You are the most patient one. Most people rush towards villager to obtain iron and villager trade, mainly due to the extremely inefficient wooden tools,limited hopper and no access to most red stone components. You are the only one that tried to automate everything even with single hopper per farm and boat clock. Some really inspiring designs and amazing work! Can’t wait to see more!

Oh, he's rushing to villagers too, the only difference is that he chose not to start with oak trees so he needs to get the saplings from wandering traders to even get apples to convert zombies into villagers, some of the stuff he's done (such as the fox farm, for emeralds) has been towards that goal.

It is really inspiring seeing how when an issue comes up, he really sits down and devotes himself to discovering the best methods available for solving it. Just grinding it out as-is might be quicker, and is definitely sufficient, but he still puts in the work for an upgrade at intervals, not just full replacements. It's really a thoughtful, dedicated exploration of all the possibilities of MC mechanics.

@@simi3177 well you're right and you're not... The way mango prevented the traders from despawning involved rails and 3 carts... That's a lot of iron right there, even if he hadn't made the improved mob farm he would have done it anyway to get all that iron faster xP

@@cyreni9756 I've played a modded skyblock that also allows you to get practically everything from dirt and a tree (it's called Crossed Skies), and the main mod adds cloning - so I _may_ have gotten rather excited when I could finally clone a bunch of Wandering Traders so that I didn't need to build a platform like this to get all the Trader trades.

@@calubras it was only a few emeralds per hour (I think it was) 2 to 4 emeralds per hour at least around that range but if you want emeralds before villagers on a skyblock world as extreme as this it's what you gotta do if you want them

@@redsarg99 foxes have a chance to spawn with emerald in their mouth, if you do a farm for those you get a couple of emeralds per hour

Before trying the minecart ejection, you should have tried having the wandering traders drop down one block before the chunk border. The way the wandering traders stop halfway over the border, they'll still be dropping onto the head of the frozen one, this allowing them to phase through, and allowing you to save tons of iron and have a simpler design.

could have sent the wandering traders into a wide waterstream that flows diagonally into the chunk, so once the first one gets stuck the next one will float past it/against it and then be pushed into the lazy chunk once it's passed.

interestingly enough balancing building the wandering trader platform is challenging assuming you need 1 second on average to farm for each block and to build the farm; then depending on how many traders you want it is still worth it to go for somewhat smaller platforms. Here are some side lengths for "milestone" numbers: 1 -> 51 2 -> 55 5 -> 60 10 -> 64 20 -> 67 50 -> 70 100 -> 72

I have an idea for the endgame of this series: You could make a "reverse perimeter". A 1000 by 1000 area in which you build all chunks from bedrock to surface as if they were naturally generated. Then you could play "regular" minecraft in your skyblock world. 😂

long time viewer and i’m a huge fan of your content, but for some reason if i’m laying down i’m incapable of watching these videos without falling asleep. i’ve actually used this to my advantage several times. for example i’m currently seeing this new girl and she wants me to spend the night, and i have a hard time falling asleep around new people. she’s out cold and i’m just sitting here bored. gonna turn this vid on and it’s pretty likely that within 10 mins i’ll be out like a light. i definitely don’t mean this in a mean way, the content of your vids is so interesting, but your voice is so relaxed and calming that it just puts me to sleep instantly
