It is amazing how well the building fronts work and how they fool the eye into seeing something that is 3-D. Great!
@ToyManTelevision3 жыл бұрын
They work great! Best when you can look straight at them, but with some clever building you can “hide” the angled bits. And flat front covered by trees.

I am loving this! Wish I could see it in person. I'm sure the camera doens't do it justice. It's amazing.

All your hard work is paying off with a absolutely fantastic looking layout. The flat building do look so real for the small space they have to fit. Great lighting and back ground sound system. All this bring the layout to life and transports you back into a simpler time. Thanks for sharing. Be safe and see you on Sunday.👍🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂

Hi! Thanks again! I think we are back at the intermountain train show Sunday. Haven’t finished it yet. But I seem to be editing that. So I guess that’s Sunday. Unless Chama sand house… but naw I think intermountain.

I can't begin to describe what you two have done for my boys and me. We love watching and re-watching your videos to help us work through the obstacles that presents its self while working on our layouts. I work crazy hours and your videos always help me remember there's more out there and not to get stressed out. Thank you both.
@ToyManTelevision3 жыл бұрын
Wow!! Thanks that’s great! We work crazy hours too.. but on our projects!! And the show. But we love screwing around building stuff and traveling. Back when I started in TV we worked like 80 hours a week. During the season at least. But if you love what you are doing I can’t think of a better way to spend your time! Anyway gee. Thanks!!!

@1:16 My family used to have that 3D barn mural on our living room wall. That definitely makes for a nice backdrop for the garden railroad...if only mom had kept it....

It goes to show you that old folks can do wonderful things. I have to get back to building a layout again. I have a ton of HO some LGB and I only have room for Z Scale. Love you guys.
@robertemmons22603 жыл бұрын
Your project is coming along nicely! The sound effects are a nice added feature to bring it all closer to realism. I'm doubtful that your rotary can do anything more than soft powder snow, your snow is a bit heavy and wet for the machine to blow through. But I can relate though, my snowblower can feel the difference. The details of the buildings are enhanced greatly by the lighting, and I really like that. Thanks again for another great video!

Gorgeous layout. BTw I was talking to the Director of Camp Elkana, a Chruch camp run by a couple local Baptist Churches. Elkana was the site of the old Starkey Yard of the Mt. Emily lumber Co.They still use the old bunk Cars wheels, rails and all for summer camp they have made some effort to keep that heritage alive. I had several Railroader Relative work for Mt.Emily.. I've been laid up due to a car wreck (shortly after my wife passed) finally getting over the injury. I'll try to get up there and e-mail some photo of how it looks this spring.. Right now UP's yard in La Grande has two Jordan spreaders for snow removal over the Kamela /Mecham summit.

Nice to see the logging railroad all finsihed up and the scenery looks great. It is amazing that Fn3 even in rather samll size and deapth can offer so much for scenic detail and how the track looks realistic. Another WOW is the forced perspective in the buildings, looking forward for that epissode! Hope that you have had a great start of the New Year and you get the logging line running! Cheers! r

G'day from Australia. I know that technically we all speak "English", but some of the terms you "yanks" use have me confused. One example is when you add the words "if you will" onto the end of a sentence?? I've tried verbalising the sentence/s without using those three words and the meaning seems to be exactly the same. So, can you enlighten me as to what value the words "if you will" add to the meaning of a sentence....I'm confused.
