same here man, then they go and find someone way cheaper for 1/10th of the price and do a shitty job that you most likely have to deal with on your routine visits to their lawns. such a drag. i quit a client because the mulch guy they chose over me put less than 1" of mulch on all his beds and weeds infested it the next week. he blamed me.

I started taking jobs and already did 5 projects plus 1 in the next two weeks. It's true its more $$$ doing flower bed maintenance. Watching your video is like me and my friend. 1 doing trimming and the other cleaning, weeding, if we are both trimming one will do the front and 1 will do sides or backyards.

Today I grossed $2,800.00 on 14 man hours worth of work. But I had about $1,000.00 worth of overhead to gross that $2,800.00. I paid my employee $80.00 per hour starting. It cost me $600.00 for him to work just 7 man hours - (If you include workers comp, and CPA fees.) Then it cost me $150.00 in disposal fees. About $50.00 in chains for my pole pruner, $50.00 in Auto fuel expenses, $2.00 worth of Bar and Chain oil for my pole pruners.

Not bad overall. You billed out at $200 per man hour. However, it seems you payed very high for your helper, but that could be due to worker shortage or some other reason. Either way, you made $1,800 profit for your company before paying yourself. Remember to pay yourself a minimum of what you pay your employees and usually more since you also have the non-billable time to get paid for as well. Of your $1,800 company profit, you should be paid at least $600 to match the worker, leaving $1,200. $400+- should be held for company taxes leaving $800. That $800 should go into the company account to pay for insurances, misc. expenses, new tool/equipment purchases etc. Perhaps splitting it some towards your company "bonus" or retirement plan or your off season salary. Overall, nice bidding.

@@shannonp4037 Where I come from you’re not going to find competent employees for less than $80.00 per hour starting. Pro arborist charge: $500.00 per man hour relative to inflation in 2022. In 2023, the prices will be going up by 100% from 2022.

Those milwaukee trimmers are decent battery lasts a while and they are quiet but they don't cut quite as fast as my gas echo. Definitely nice depending what you are doing though. I have mixed feelings about them

I love when people pay that much. Because then you can spend the extra time to be mathoticle and really pay attention to every detail. This guy Mohammed I do work for when I'm desperate would only pay about $300 to prune that many shrubs and ornamental trees. Mabey $600 with the mulch lol. He wanted me to repoint all the bricks in the basement of his store. I told him $3 per square foot and he thought I was crazy. I told him that those were 2008 prices. He said he can get a guy for $10 an hour. Lmao 🤣

I've been contemplating on picking up that Milwaukee hedge trimmer for like 2 years now. I had the ht56 stihl. But that burned in the house fire back in February. I've been yousing my stihl attachment hedge trimmer that articulates. But is a real pain in the ass for low shrubs and fine tuning work.

Depends on the customer and the property.... Some customers want monthly bush trimming and others want twice a year.

Iso tunes I found are the best for hearing protection and music. The charge last hrs upon hrs during the day then I wear them in the gym another 2 and half on tip of that been using the same pair for 2 years. The only time I've had to replace them is because I ran them over with the mower. The customer service is amazing

Those were Milwaukee brand and as far as gas trimmers he gets the Stihl hi grade home owner version and they are just about as good for at least $100 less than the commercial grade hedge trimmers
