Hello sir. Great job explaining the “why” to the parts. Very nicely done. I am getting my scx24 this week and your channel is perfect. Thanks.

Great video! Thanks. Just starting out, so very helpful. Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos. I was surprised you didn't include #8: High clearance links. They can also be on the free mod list as you can bend the stock ones with careful heating. :D

Glad to hear that the info helped out. I was trying to narrow down to 7, and also quite few folks just 3d print the high clearance links including myself.

I have one from the very beginning when I got my SCX24 C10 back in June 2020, but the stock motor is still going on strong for me. I am kind of curious how long the stock motor will last.
@illusion3474 жыл бұрын
@@BigSungHobbies nice, did you do any mods to keep it from overheating with the additional weight of the mods? Mine seems to get very hot after a few minutes, still working good though.
@BigSungHobbies4 жыл бұрын
@@illusion347 My rig is sitting around 265g right now which is 35g over stock. I have not done any mods to my motor. Removing the sticker might help, but I haven't done that on mine either. Don't use full throttle, and make sure to run at Med on most cases unless you need the additional power from High.

Thanks for checking out my video! As for motor, I have not yet upgraded it, although, I have purchased a new barrage motor for it. I will be upgrading it at some point in the future so that I can do a comparison of the stock motor vs barrage motor.

I agree with the carbon fiber chassis. I would like to see someone do it to a completely stock c10 or at most wheel and tire upgraded. Before and after comparison. I mostly just want to see if the lighter chassis would solve the tire rubbing issue so many people have (Including myself). I think it would since there would be less weight pushing down on the shocks...
@BigSungHobbies3 жыл бұрын
Although its not C10, I am noticing that I am dealing with higher CG issues with Betty.
@jpyt71823 жыл бұрын
I tried pretty hard to get a Betty. It's a pretty cool truck. There was just no way in h*l* I was going to spend $250+ for her. I like the look of the c10 more than the jeep and deadbolt. I wish my cf chassis would just hurry up already! I ordered it on the 18th. I think I'm going to have to file down some places on the emax servo so it stops catching on the bumber area above it.
@BigSungHobbies3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's pretty crazy what people are asking for Betty. Personally, I think C10 is the best option out there especially with CF chassis.

Are these mods in order of what you would recommend to do, first with #1? Thanks! I've only had mine for two weeks so I am enjoying it stock. Really eyeing the furitek brushless combo for that slowwww crawl.
@BigSungHobbies3 жыл бұрын
#1 servo upgrade can wait. But I would do #2, 3, 4 first in that order, and then maybe do servo upgrade after that. Furitek brushless combo looks good.

@@CroakerOutdoors All good. Glad that I can be of help. Tires and Wheels make a huge improvement, so does weight distribution. The stock servo is pretty weak, so a good one will definitely help too.
@Hi_Doctor_Nick3 жыл бұрын
@@CroakerOutdoors I've had my c10 a week. 1st use, the body rubs like hell. I didn't want to lift the body as I like the way it sits. So I used a dremel and sanded the wheel arches. Even on max articulation / steering I get zero rub now. I also noticed the steering servo is very weak. So I've already ordered a new one. A EMAX one as they seem to work and it's a good price. There does seem to be alot of fake ones on the market like ebay, So be careful. Also ordered the furitek motor combo. Like you said, the control looks insane. But it's not cheap. To try and offset the weight from the larger motor I've got brass knuckles, hex hubs and diff covers. Don't know if I'll use them all yet. And new beadlock wheels & tyres.

@@Hi_Doctor_Nick Appreciate your insight! Been running a C10 and Deadbolt (red) stock inside so I haven't needed to upgrade yet.

@@BigSungHobbies love your videos , i have build my last gspeed element 1/10 following your video on it..... probably will be doing the same with my scx24 deadbolt....... would you suggest building the deadbolt after the c10 videos or the betty videos?
@BigSungHobbies3 жыл бұрын
@appie Either one will work. The C10 videos have a bit more details and how to install, while the Betty video has the benefit of experience on C10, and so is a bit more on the actual order of the upgrades & mods that I would recommend.
