I really enjoy your videos. Nice choice on the green C10, my favorite

Will be interesting to see or hear how your real life test of this theory turn out.

Give it a try. It's not the most scientific, but seem to have slight performance gain.

Did you flip the shocks upside down to help hold oil in our just to get more weight down low?
@BigSungHobbies3 жыл бұрын
The initial intent was to lower CG, but it is so light that the gain is minimal at best, but the side benefit is that it helps to hold the grease in like you said.

Where can I find these link pivot balls & screws? I’m a newbie to rc, so I might not be searching correctly.
@BigSungHobbies3 жыл бұрын
The pivot balls are a bit tough to get hold of unless you buy the full link kit. I had a friend who donated a link that had 2 pivot balls. As for screw, the best bet is Hot Racing Axial SCX24 M1.4 Screw Set.

Wrong. As long as you tighten the play in the link pivots, should be fine, but this does not help for the reason you state. If you lose the "triangle", then the links allow the axles to move more laterally (side to side), relative to the body of course, and this causes a LOSS of sidehill. Unless you add a watts-link, or other stabilizer (which is much easier to do on 1/10 due to space restrictions of 1/24), then this mod does not help sidehilling. This is best illustrated by the loss of sidehill when changing the front Y-link to 4-link.... it gives you more articulation, but hurts sidehill. The Y-link prevents the axle from moving side to side. If the axle moves side to side, it shifts the weight of the rig downhill, causing a roll over sooner.

Thank you for the comment. I really appreciate the clear explanation of the function of the y-link vs. the 4-link, and why the loss of "triangle" will impact sidehilling negatively. Now I am really curious how the mod will affect it. I will make sure to test it out and report back.

@@BigSungHobbies Did you find a negative impact on sidehilling? Thanks!

Well...did it work??
@BigSungHobbies Жыл бұрын
By itself it's not a huge improvement, but the benefits all adds up. I notice that my C10 with this mod is much more stable than my other SCX24 that doesn't have this mod. It's an easy mod. Give it a try.

It's been very difficult to tell unless I have identical scx24 one with or without to test. I am happy with the way my C10 sidehills though, so I am keeping it.
