Nice info from the background! What about the additional riding clothes? Five days of cycling without changing your jersey/bib make it easier to find a free spot next to the cobbles for sure. 😂 But can’t really believe this is how you deal with this. Washing every night or what? Thanks for keeping us motivated! I bet most of us can pick a few new ideas from each and every video!

Good question! I only took one set with me and washed them each and every night! I got caught out one night with wet clothes the following morning…wasn’t ideal 🥶 More on the full ride shortly! Stoked you enjoy the content 😁

Great preparation. but why use high aero wheels which are effective around 40km/h for ultra heavy duty like a hiker? At the risk of experiencing gusts of wind, sides to climb. (I'm not making any judgment, just a question)
@jackultracyclistofficial7 ай бұрын
Good question. I wanted to test these rims in the windier conditions and see how the bike handled in preparation for my next record. They’re faster at speeds below 40km/h too 👌🏽👌🏽

I object in the strongest possible terms to this setup. It is plain wrong. The correct one is Force Wide 46/30 to 36 cassette. Unless you are sponsored by SRAM, RED groupset has no place on ultra endurance bike, which already weights 20 kilos anyway. 😂😂
@jackultracyclistofficial5 ай бұрын
Should I sell the red groupset and buy force then? 🙄🙄
@tonyg30915 ай бұрын
@@jackultracyclistofficial Why did you go RED in the first place? Performance wise it is the same as Force but it is lighter. But light doesn’t matter in your case so I am really wondering. BTW, ditch the CO2 canisters and replace them with a single lightweight pump. Unlike the canisters, the pump works indefinitely

To much of stuff.. Credit card long distance riding is next big thing- you just go race ready, light and aero and do double the range in one day..

You still need equipment though, especially in areas where weather can be cold. I’m not sure I could have gotten away with less on this trip
