Glad i found this video as i was intrigued by these new 1/35 3D printed heads. I was thinking the printing layers would be visible but they seem fine. A newish brand of head sets that ive been buying a lot of are Firestorm. Good range so far, six heads in a pack, nicely detailed with easy to paint eyes, cheaper than other brands. I recently used the FC Modeltrends M3 halftrack tracks/bogies/wheels set for the Tamiya US half-tracks. Fantastic detail but just didnt fit the Tamiya kit. If designed on a computer wouldn't it be a perfect fit? Tamiya kit needed a fair bit of cutting but in the end was a huge improvement.

That’s really cool. Those tracks are really bad on the Tamiya kit. Glad the video helped!

Hi mate I don’t think that they’re so bad. I’ve got so many a lot of Hornet, RADO, some Royal Models heads and hand sets and they all have their own signature size and detail hi lights. Haven’t started with Alpine yet but they are without a doubt the best on the market I’d have to say. You look at some of the heads out there on the market and they are nearly the same, with the slightest hint of being different. Heard a lot of negative reviews about FC’s range but I’ve got heaps of their AFV update kits and personally I don’t think they are any issue, especially with the M2/M3 Halftrack rear suspension/track and also the Opel Maultier rear suspension/track upgrade kits. Yes, if you look, I did a review on their Matilda Mark one tank. Check that video out. The kit itself is good. As far as detail I’m not a big fan of cleanup on 3-D kits. When I put these heads next to each other, you do see a big difference, though, as the detail is not as sharp and undercut like the other heads. But I’m going to paint one just to see how it looks. That’s the best way and then I’ll show her talk about it. Thanks for your comment. Greatly appreciated!

Yes, check out my video on the Matilda Mark 1 that they offer. The detail on that is very good. I just didn’t like the cleanup that you have to do on 3-D products.
