That's an awesome job. I made the exact same Tamiya model 47 years ago. I dry brushed weathering onto the model and created a diorama of a destroyed brick structure as it's concealment, although not nearly as skillfully as you. Afterall, I was only 13 at the time. Tamiya has always been, hands down, the best modeling company in the business.

Bravissimo. Un modellino trasformato in un opera d'arte. Mi piacerebbe avere la tua abilità e fantasia.
Looking at many very well done tank models, I notice that the rubber on the road wheels usually looks new. May show dirt/grime but rarely any damage. A weathered tank would almost certainly have some sort of damage, chips/cuts/chunks missing due to normal wear/tear/combat conditions. Would you happen to have any examples you could show?

WOW!....Never seen such a CLOSE match to my own Red-Oxide/XF84 DarkIron>PanzerYellow paint scheme & wash> chipping>drybrush technique!.... -Nice work there man! -Been pondering uploading vids of my own models. Not the process, just the finished product... Since 2008 to present, Ive been steadily/full time working on a 5x10 foot, or larger, MEGA-DIO of a German Wehrmacht/SS PanzerWerkStattCo's. Somewheres between Falaise & Argentan, Normandy, France. Late June/Early July, before the Falaise Kessel.... -All told, with resin figures, models, aftermarket items, buildings, tools, paint & an entire small library of reference books, Ive probably @ least $250K into it as of yet-(EEK!;)-...At last count Ive got around 650 figures, 1/2 of those being $pendy resin offerings & all types of German tanks & vehicles under all manner of repairs....;) -All the buildings are wired for lights, many being scratch built... -The scene revolves around a rural French gas station/junk yard/auto-repair/well tooled machine shop/metal forge... -Small field hospital, troops & vehicles coming & going to the front, nachtrichten/signals detachment, Fries gantry cranes, heavy volumes of AA positions, large officer meetings, old Roman ruins, etc, etc,ect>>>> -Its just gotten SO BIG! The problem with such a loooong running project, is that ones skill level progresses along @ pace-(Life long modeler too)-...So looking back upon my models just 1 to 2 years old, I see my own progression & oft times end up RE-building them?!...HA!...Uggggghh...;) -Working on my 7th, or 8th? Tamiya Sd.Kfz 9 FAMO @ present moment!-(Im keeping 3 in the dio)- Its kitbashed to have a 3 ton Bilstein crane in the back-(AFV Club Bussing-Nag L4500 crane truck-tricky kit, but highly recommended!)-..REALLY looking forward to Trumpeters 1/35th FAMO offerings! Hoping theyll release 'em SOON!..;) Ya gots my sub! Keep up tha great work!

@smc-2 Жыл бұрын

@smc-22 жыл бұрын
The tracks in this video are slackened by putting spacers in between, heating them with a hair dryer, and then rapidly cooling them in a refrigerator. Part 1 of my video SU-85 details how to do it. But this method is very dangerous. It is also likely to fail. My recommendation is the wire hold method, which I also show in part 1 of my Panzer III video. It's safe and certain. I think this method is the best except when you can see the wire.🍺

If you are using an airbrush, adjust the diluent so that you can blow with clean particles while actually trying it out. The appropriate amount of dilution depends on the season, so I think the only way to learn is to actually try it, see it, feel it, and experience it yourself.🍰

Do you glue all the accessories on the tank? 😅
@smc-29 ай бұрын
Sometimes it is glued, and sometimes it is left temporarily attached. It's case by case.🥞🍕🍟

@@smc-2 I had built this kit for a few times over the years, but I’m going to try it again in your way next time. This’s the best tutorial video from start to finish IMHO. 🥳🥳🥳

Love your stuff, can you do some Viet Nam era military hardware. Thank you, Seattle Washington.

Although I can't say it will happen right away, I think there will be an opportunity to work on modern tanks eventually. Thank you for your comment.🥩🍷🍷🍷

Sorry to jump into your comment Droid Monkey, but I am unable to post a comment, no comment box.😞 First off amazing work!!! My question is to SMC-2, you show using only one layer of hairspray for the chipping. Does that reactivate for all the additional layers or are you re-hair spraying between all subsequent layers? Thank you in advance!

@@kevinkelly7422 Sorry for the insufficient explanation in the video. I sprayed all layers with hairspray to chip them.🥞🧇☕

ヘアスプレーでのコーティングですが、全部で何回されているのでしょうが。
@smc-2 Жыл бұрын
使っている3色それぞれにヘアースプレーを吹き、またそれぞれをクリアーでコーティングしています。ですから3度ヘアースプレーを吹いています。 Each of the three colors used is sprayed with hairspray and each is coated with a clear coat. So I'm blowing hairspray three times.

Clear coat between every paint layer?
@smc-2 Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily every time. After applying hairspray and painting. And when the basic painting is completed. In these cases, it is coated with semi-gloss clear.🍦
