1,383,362 DPS RANGER: Warden vs Hunter (single target) Best Setups for Damage! - Neverwinter Mod 28

With the upcoming Update Module 28 on April the 23rd, the Ranger Warden is getting a lot of improvements, as well as a few for the Hunter. Here I cover my test results as to how effective they are in single target, not just versus each other but also against my same tests on Barbarian and Wizard. I will do the other classes very soon! This shows the potential on these classes in endgame content! Whether you can play that well, along with mechanics is another story. This test is designed to show what is possible on an endgame build with a coordinated group, in those boss fights!

Dps Test Rules:
- buffer artifact
- Between 93k and 94k Item Level
- all 90% offense stats
- batiri, minsc, knight companion bonuses
- Perfect Lolth Weapons
- No other damage buffs allowed outside of class powers
- encounter collar
- 3,000 mag mount, no vecna
- blood lust
- life lessons
- Use only a companion enhancement for stats, no debuff
- No damage belt item
- Celestial Combat Enchant
- 3 minutes plus, duration

It did to broken gears and equipment. For example if someone is running mirage and and wicked Lich mount power the have a serious advantage over anyone that not.

Yes, certain gear on certain classes will give different results, but this is just a tutorial, and the way he test st damage. Just a base line because skill, and situation plays a part as well

Neverwinter devs don't have a clue how class balance works. Not a clue. They jump from class to class making random, non class balance changes and the overall results are predictably bad.

This is why most more modern games don't have pure healers or pure tanks. In Neverwinter palys are just sort of hosed both ways.

Seems kinda pointless choosing 'Focused' feat if you switching stance so often as you have to build up stacks from 0 after every stance switch.Just a thought but as far as i know warden was always melee oriented. Also most of the hunters i know using 'More Than Disruptive' and 'Disruptive Shot' and they start their rotation with that and bow attacks then switch to melee then back to bow for filling the encounters cooldown time with 1 more 'Disruptive Shot' then 'Aimed Shot'. 'Slaher's Mark' can kill you at Tiamat and CoDG and on other places where you can fall off through the little space between the platform and the boss. "Ranger. aoe is going to be warden for sure. Recommend to mess around with powers yourself, but I will for my build video

They've got the Ranger and thus the Warden completely wrong. Rangers should be bow dominant and melee 2nd (close ok, but 2nd). If I wanted to be a melee dominant class I wouldn't play a Ranger. Huge thanks for the chart tho Aragon. Nobody has ever shown me the class build and fighting sequence to maximise DPS. Cant wait to give this a try 👍 I only hit 130k to 1.9M on the dummy in our stronghold (in a sequence, self buff 87k). I'm on PS4, so I hate the load screens going to that room via the Guildhall. Edit: I've seen Gus hit 12m on one of his uploads, so you can definitely hit higher (legally or not, I dont know)

Hunter need bufs, becouse we not geting benefits from hex, spin devil,if you play rogue or wizy, you need have hex and spin devil sloted. ^^

Yeah, as it's says "Ranger" and I'm focusing on melee 😅 Feat for 50% more DMG from ranged encounter could be changed to all ranged attack. Then we could have some chose to play some more on ranged part or mix with melee.

yeah I agree, why have a bow if your going to be up in the bosses face or trash packs..it's the main reason why I never played Ranger in Neverwinter but the reason I wanted to play Neverwinter because it did have a ranger class, go figure.

Aragon i just did a test on 5k boss on ps5 with crystal and mirage(flask and sunlord no soup) on hunter and warden build same powers as you are showing. my hunter build finished in 2:30 and the warden build in 4:35 so they must have doubled at least the current warden otherwise its not worth switching for someone who plays hunter on top level and i have been playing hunter for 6 years now

@@Aragon- Quick update. i did full buffs hunter 5k boss 2:27 and with warden 2:17 so theorotically is better if u can be mellee on boss uninterrupted which is a bit streched but still on paper warden is now more dps than hunter (Dracarys)

They don't care about cleric dps. From their point of view you are supposed to be a healer. Because you can be a healer they figure your dps spec should be penalized. Silly logic but they don't play the game anyway.

As u say if u don't do a perfect rotation on Hunter u currently loosing around 15% to 25% damage, so assuming u r new on HR u can add 20% on your Hunter dmg test 😉 it goes to 1.372.800 dmg who is same than top warden.. so it looks pretty equal 4 me 😉
