I can't believe how Steve is so successful yet sometimes so bad at selling himself as a partner who will provide value. Instead of saying I want to make money on you, if he would have said what value he could provide them with, he quite possibly would have gotten the deal. Even Naomi did that even though it was obvious that they already knew. Just to assure them that she would provide value.

@Janet A 10% of the whole business is actually his, including what's in the bank. --> Owners' equity = assets - liabilities When an investor buys into a compay, they buy a percentage of the owners' equity, which entitles them to a pro-rata share of any profits, losses, and cash received upon liquidation.

@@abdullahalshafie3375 this is absolutely false, yes inventory, building, machinery are 10% the buyers if they liquidate. Money is not sometimes when you buy a whole business the contract will come with 25,000 to be left in the account for cost over the next 3 months. But no the 1.4mill is not, however one does have a say in how they should use it . If that's how you are doing business your partners are not hiring lawyers, and your finding some dumb people to prey on

@@Farquad76.547 the Australian one is better than the American but I agree the UK Original and the Irish dragons are much better IMO.

I agree. Australian sharks are much nicer and I love their accents.

The american one is by a mile the best. Brilliant TV there. Plus serious money involved

38 bucks for a box of candies! Insane! I respect the margins and I guess this is how you guys are millionaires! 👍

Karnvir, not many people realise this, but many great ideas that are hugely successful are done by stupid people. You didn't come up with this business idea because your logic and smart brain thought, "who in their right mind would spend $38 on a box of candies!". And 95% of normal people would think exactly like you and dismiss the idea straight away. The idiot who thought left of field is now making many bricks. Think of Airbnb, the guy had to pitch his idea to 70 people before anyone took him seriously. 70 venture capitalists (and these guys are smart cookies) all thought, "who in their right mind would share their home with a stranger?". How many bricks per day is Airbnb making. I watched a KZbin video about teenage entreprenuers and was thinking to myself how dumb and stupid their ideas were and my eyes were rolling thinking who on earth would buy their lame products- they are self made millionaires at the age of 14.

@@jamesduff6937 I didn't even realise that I do this, but you're completely correct. Someone with the same logic and reasoning will never think of a solid business idea and run with it. I would never buy a product like theirs because it simply isn't worth it. The box of candy I saw had, peach rings, watermelon sour candy, and two others that can be bought for 2 dollars each at a liquor store.

@@PerryPlatapussi Check out this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmjThYaweN14h8k Who on earth would think the following would be successful.. Illumibowl Doggles Squatty Potty Pet Rocks Snuggie Plastic Wishbone Billi Bob Teeth My logic brain thinks that these ideas wouldn't even get off the ground, yet these apparently stupid ideas and the numbskulls that thought of them are the smart ones!

A lot of successful business people are essentially grifters who find a way to upcharge their customers without adding actual value. They sell brands, ideas, aspirations, fantasies ... not products or services.
