You're supposed to have an air capacitor on the intake side which is basically an empty can to keep the rapid turbo spools down and average out the Boost. Please put one on there
@kiiiisu5 жыл бұрын
yep was it like 1:4.4 cylinder size times 4.4 or something like that to be perfect
@2011metalmaniac5 жыл бұрын
@@timsane some would argue that because it is a single cylinder engine, during the exhaust stroke while the turbo is spooling of course the inlet valve is closed and so the energy is wasted. The idea is to accumulate the boost pressure during the exhaust stroke in a capacitor which then releases when the inlet opens.
@mechanicalking5 жыл бұрын
@@timsane like Maniac said. If you go on KZbin and watch videos with small one cylinder turbo engines, the boost gauge Spikes and the needle goes crazy. That's why 4 cylinders sometimes take longer to spool than V8's, there's just not enough exhaust coming out of a 1 cylinder for it to work without some kind of a large intake plenum

@@2011metalmaniac yes thats right.. because of one cylinder engine.. u be facing tunning isue afterward if charge air capasitor is not there..

Found your channel from Conely 1/4 scale Blown V8 motor vid (do you know him? he makes production now)...and have gone back to watch your whole project...Holllleeee Molllleee! You are a fanatic! I build custom Harleys and had a CNC machine shop producing parts, so I can say how much I appreciate what you are doing...the time involved in designing, drawing, making and testing each part...even setting up and zeroing each CNC operation...do you have any idea how many hours you put into this project? It's really really amazing..congratulations! Your patience is inspiring...every time you have to 'go back to the drawing board' or pull something apart and re-make it you seem really calm. Are there no cuss words or swear words in German? 😂😂 OK, I understand...this is a 'family channel' 😂😂. Did you think of selling your parts or drawings? @5:30 Nice to see you found some 'Australian Safety Boots' over there...I wear my favourite Birkenstocks in the workshop! Greetings from SW Australia!

Good work! Hope it works well. Are you going to anodize the part? Also who makes that tap wrench handle? Looks really nice! I just found your channel and will definitely be subscribing to see how it goes. Thanks!
@alexbarnett85415 жыл бұрын
@@timsane anodizing definitely makes the part look good. I've been learning to do it myself for about six months now and finally getting reliable results. It's really fun to do. Can be frustrating also. I'm sure I can find the handle with a little bit of looking. Can't wait to see your project finished. That's going to be a fun to drive. Thanks!

Have you considered the cooling of the engine, it appears that the crank trigger wheel is blocking the air intake of the engine fan.
