I'm a heavy equipment mechanic difficulty I would rate it a 5/10 due to not wanting to break clips. Otherwise it's a 3/10. I would caution to be very careful putting the throttle body back together. Length of time it took me- 3 hours removal 30 minutes installation. I think I could knock it down to 2 hours the second time. Things I would do different- get a good set of pliers for squeeze clamps. The n80 valve hose replaced did have a leak at the collar but I think it was due to the last owner having some shotty work done when replacing the alternator. They are known to fail though. The part number for 2016-17 is 04E133366CQ . I believe 04E133366HK is for 19-21. I hope this helps someone and gives them the confidence to do it themselves. I apologize for not recording much on the installation but I linked a video on the description of a similar video. I recommend cleaning your valves while your in there. I had seen a video that 1,2,4 would close at the same time but once I cleaned them up I noticed that was NOT the case anymore. Tools used- t30, extension, 10mm socket for battery, pliers for clamps, The number of my old valve. pa66 gf35 purge valve

Do you know what the torq spec is for the throttle body and intake manifold? I'm about to have to do this repair.

Hi can the intake manifold be cleaned from carbon build up? I see that the cooler is built in to the intake manifold is that a problem? Or the cooler can be separated from the manifold? Thanks

Appreciate the video! My 2017 Jetta has a engine light which the vw dealership said was due to a cracked hose from the n80 and this video Will definitely help if that’s the reason for the CEL.

On a side-note, consider pulling on the ribbed hose right next to the intake to see if it comes off.. I wish I had because it was very easy to pull it off I could have just replaced the line with a regular fuel line and clamps. If you have high mileage I recommend the carbon cleaning though.

Im having the hardest time removing both coolant hose clip thats under the n80 valve. Might just be easier to get under the car and unclip the coolant hose.
