Could you elaborate as to what caused this issue? I have the same car, APR coil packs, forge motorsports dump , JB4 , big ass intake, muffler and res delete, and about ti isolate the intercooler with a pump , heat exchanger and ice box.... don't want this happening to me! Love the video s bro

Simple answer is JB4 was reading 25psi analog gauge read 30psi, so I turned jb4 off, but the damage was done. Next day running just stage 2 turbo popped.

@@JZsMK6.5 I'm sorry to hear bro , I was told not to go over 22 with the stock turbo, do you know of an affordable (lol) turbo I could invest in for the 1.4t? BMS told me there wasn't much out there... I've been working with machines my whole life trust the analog over electronics man. Also I have a suspension that with the vacuum adapter for the BOV it may give a false reading because it raises the oem psi sensor . I feel keeping the turbo cooling lines on the radiator would be better because it would more closely match the engine temperature.

@@WilliamBrown-bg7vm the stock turbo can definitely run more than 22psi. Even stage 2 Unitronic is higher than that. There are hybrid turbos out there give you about 30 more hp than stock. TTE hybrid, RTMG, and a few other. Recommend joining the EA212 owners group on Facebook. Tons of info on there and different builds. Including IS20 swaps running 286whp.

Do you remember the torque specs for the inter cooler bolts??

Yea, i don't really ever tq anything to spec unless it's a serious drivetrain part. Just good and tight will do for IM and IC

Hi, I recently tried to install an MST Performance Turbo Inlet Pipe & Hose on my 1.4TSI (VW Golf MK7.5), unfortunately it didn’t fit and I had to put back the OEM parts (to note it poured with rain in between and I had stop, dry everything off then reinstall OEM parts) issue is that upon putting the key in the ignition all lights turn on as expected and then turn off but the EPC & Engine light. I then start the engine and all lights go off… what could be causing this issue?

I'm fairly certain that's how it normally is, my car is apart right now so I can't confirm that, but pretty sure that's normal. Are you throwing any codes? Also why did the MST elbow not work? I know guys running it no issue.

@@Wolfpack310 it wasn't the turbo that was bad, it was a stage 2 tune then was messing around with a stack and over boosted

do i have to drain the coolant to take the manifold out ?

I mean you might not have to fully drain it, but there is obviously coolant in the lines and in the intercooler. It's also really simple to drain, don't see why you wouldn't. But if you can keep the lines upright and catch what comes out of the intercooler you could manage it.

Besides the turbo being dirty.....the high pressure fuel pump also had an issue leaking fuel into the cam cover contaminating the oil and lacking enough pressure to feed the injectors causing misfire and difficult start up....had to replace the pump since i wasnt sure wether the pump can be rebuild

the two bottom clips are pain to undo as you cannot see them. i managed it by puling the manifold from the head and undo it with a pry bar both from right side.

What size are the hoses that go into the Intercooler?

The 2 large ones are 5/8" the small one is 5/16th
