Looks like a nice place but as you say, lots more can be done to make it beautiful. Unfortunately that happens a lot here. I have lived in many places here and always had many thoughts about renovations if I owned the place. Even now in the condo I'm in. You are a great little family, would love to meet you one day.

mechanical winding louvre windows can shut properly except when corrosion/oxidation prevent this, (its because of the rust/seaside) Some fixed louvres usually have insect screens fitted. (often used in toilets and bathrooms.

Nice house but poor design, I wonder what education architects get here, you are also right about the poor quality off materials , at first the Phillipines look cheap but if you have to replace your showerhead every year it becomes expencive, this is only one example but there is a lot more, tell the owner to be there during renovation ore he will pay a lot fore nothing, good luck there👍

Why with most bathrooms in Philippines the water end up in bedroom it's like most of Homes don't have bathtubs it's very rare see bathtub's in homes in Philippines congratulations on your house

We don't have the budget for that right now, maybe someday. I do have some web development experience, but I'm not an expert and all my past projects were for personal use. Unfortunately, my laptop died over a year ago due to the salty ocean air, so web development isn't something I can help with at the moment.

hi Alex, nice video where you show all the hardships you went through with the electricians and plumbers. after two years of searching for a house that met my standards, and after having found, with regret, that there was not one that even came close to my standards, I decided to design one, one that can withstand earthquakes of 8/9 on the Richter scale, and typhoons F2-4 like Odette in December 2021. the project and the permits, including that of the firefighters and the surrounding wall, cost me around 100k ₱ ... here it will be very difficult to find competent workers, even paying double, as you have also been able to see. my house is 90 square meters, double wall, 1 mezzanine floor, terrace. insulated with 10 cm high density stifferite: the stifferite alone will cost me approximately 500k₱. I have 40cmx40cm pillars, 1.30x 1.30x1.30 m plinths and 22mm and 16mm iron bars. the foundations are 70cmx80cm all 16mm bars. I finished building the 1st wall, and up to now I have used 100 cubic meters of concrete and 600 bags of blue Portland cement, the best 🔝🔝 ... as you can see European and American standards. if you let the local carpenters do it, 8 mm max 10 mm iron bars, hallelujah 😭 ... as you can see if you want you can do it, you just have to guide them step by step, and even then sometimes they get lost 😂😂 I wish you with all my heart ❤️ that you can do what you want to do ... apart from the tarred sheath, you can find everything and of quality ... ​@@Alex_Kosh hi Alex, Maayung Buntag, I will be living for 5 years now, since August 2019, in Camotes Island Cebu, my address city Tugas northern poblacion San Francisco, where I will be building the house will be in Santa Cruz, Matnog location. I will be high and about 500 meters from the ocean. To be more relaxed, while typhoons pass, like Odette, I am in a quiet area and without many insects, also because I will do a lot of prevention, which will cost me about 3k pesos a month between malatahion, various Bayer products and rat poison paper, with which I have been taking many and only geckos lately for many years Amping Kanunai 🤗 God bless 🤞🙏
