I didn't even know you can sepnd thet much there. I stay d there a month and only spent $1,000 doing everything. Stayed at 9 hotels, went to Boracay and visited every city in Metro Manila, went to Manila Ocean Park, went on 4 day tours of all kinds, and even gambled a bit at the Okada. All that with $1000, got $500 from the casino and used it to buy souvenirs🎉 Oh and I forgot to mention I ate like I ate here in America. I went out everyday to buy food and I bought the most expensive sushi I could find which was about $4 some of them were seven. But hey I didn't eat a thousand times. I simply ate a lot and out so I am really surprised that these guys are spending more than that. 😂 However, I will say this fact. I had a girlfriend at that time that was proficient in travel and knowing her people and kept me from getting scammed. But whenever a guy would try to sell us something he would jack up the price for me. But she would talk to him and say that's not the correct price and he would Apologize and then sell it to us for the Filipino price. Example what I went to buy Arnis sticks I talked to the guy online first and he told me $1, 500 Then my girlfriend looked at me and said no way that's The price. She didn't message the guy saying that she wanted to buy our new sticks and she wanted to know if the price online was the actual price. He asked her where she was from and she could pick them up in person and they would be cheaper. She said she lived in a city nearby where the address of the website was located so he said that's nearby and you can pick them up for 400 pesos Then she said see they will tell you a higher price because you are an American and you let him know that you should never let them know that you're an American. Okay so nowadays even though I'm black I just say that I'm Filipino and I am in from the tribes there because I look just like their native people. They will always give me the right price😂

@AlexKosh-- The Russians here in Southern California are really into wearing high-end fashion, they drive expensive Europian cars, and they live in expensive places. They act like they're all Oligarchs- even my nice friends are like this! But the Russians in the Philippines- from what I see on KZbin videos- are surprisingly adaptable to the (poor) life in the Philippines. I can't see the Russians in So.California living this way. Are the Russians who move to the Philippines just different from the ones who go to America?

That's one way of curing the thought of loneliness. You're right, @AlexKosh, you can be lonely surrounded by people or partner. Sometimes, that's the worst kind of lonely. Btw, i hope your hike alone scared the shit out of you. I'm not one to fear monger, but you really should have gone prepared: clothing and shoes appropriate for the hike, enough water, notify others of your hike plan and destination, know the terrain, bring an emergency signal in case you get injured and unable to continue. I'm glad you lived to tell the tale.
