Hi matey! I think the lane keeping definitely needs some sort of notification as to whether it’s on or off….and needs improvement. But I think there’s going to be other new features that are going to need ironing out in the new 1.50 edition. Saying that, 1.50 is still in Beta so I don’t suppose anyone can complain really. Thanks Fatabelly, Yes SCS need to implement a light or an icon on the dash so you know what is what, but as you say it's a work in progress so I have total faith that they will address this and any other features that need fixing.

@@user-ne4nk1ow5z Sure, just go to your steam library and right click on ETS2 and then click "Properties" then click on "Updates" and choose your preference from the "Automatic Updates" drop down. 🙂

If anyone's interested... I made it work the best way possible for me by tweaking the following force foodback and steering options, (even through this sacrifice many of our "ideal / comfortable" setup): First - I set steering sensitivity to 1. 0, as the physical wheel is still trying to send signal of one angle, and the game wants to send another, a 1.5 makes it a little too aggressive. The little "delay" of the 1.0 sensitivity let the game understand and correct the ideal steering angle, before applying the real wheel input to the game; Second - I set non linear steering to 1 too, as it makes the "center" range of the steering waaayy less sensible, and thus permits the game to really make micro adjustments, instead of hard steering flicks. Third, and most important - set force feedback gain to 200%, as it unlock the full range of "adjust" to the physical steering wheel.. It doesn't filter or smooths any effect, and this setting is the main one that makes the truck correct itself on the center of the lane, instead of starting the correction only when the wheels are crossing the lines; Last - on the force feedback, as our friend said, use high speed centring on 100, lane assist on 35 (strength of the correction) , and adjust other effects as low as possible, so it doesn't interfere with the AI corrections. Overall, the steering will feel harder and heavier because of the gain, but turning slow speed centering all the way off still makes it drivable and maneuverable. With all the settings above, including the key bindings, the truck sticks to the lane like a train on tracks, so i found it very fun to watch and play , with cinematic camera and adaptative cruise control. If anyone else want to try this configurations, let me know how it works for you, and If you discovered any other tweaks to make it better. I tried "softer" settings, to make the wheel lighter and more confortable for manual driving, but none of them worked. The truck always "bumps" on lanes more and more until it gets out of control and crashes.

I think that the second mode is not a lane keeping mode, but rather a safety mode to keep you from running off the road by turning you back to the road/lane should it detect you are going off. This is just a guess based on what I can see.

G'day Eagle, I agree however for some reason one or two of the modes in the second one makes the truck steer heavily to the right or left and actually drags it off the road so no much of a safety mode lol, I'm guessing the devs will fix that before the full update is released.

Somebody know why my lane assist sometimes just drives me to the right out of the sudden? Usally at crossroads, very often on those blocked ones so i cant even rly do shit about it, when it happens he goes like 90° straight to the right and crashes me fully. Thats just so stupid -.-

G'day Reiner, unfortunately a lot of people are reporting the same problem and others get it working only to have it stop later, SCS have said that they are working on it so we can only hope it is fixed soon.

Tried using this feature last night but had to disable it rather quickly because the alarm is way too sudden and loud causing me to lose control of my truck due primarily to my sensitive startle reflex.

G'day michaeł Zell, Yes I don't use the lane warning assist now just the Lane Keeping Assist, that way there's no warning alarm and it does the job I want. 🙂

How the hell did you manage to spawn your truck somewhere else? I do know how to use Free-cam as I use it, but I don’t actually know how to put my truck somewhere else.

G'day Martin, Ok Just press zero on your keyboard not the numpad so your outside the truck, use the numpad to fly to wherever you want to teleport the Truck to, then pres Ctrl + F9 to place the Truck, make sure the camera view is close to the ground or your truck will sustain damage from being dropped from a great height LOL 🙂

Had it working once in ats when I started a new game and no dice. Lol. Would be nice to have using a controller right now since I lost everything but oh well. Not sure why beta yesterday wouldn't have complained about not having an indicator that the system is active. Dumb move scs.😡

G'day linux230, Yes it still needs some improvements however it appears to be working a bit better now since the last patch and like you said it really needs an indicator that it's on and in what mode. 🙂

@@lovrebatovanja4791 Oh wow totally misunderstood sorry, like I said it seems to be working correctly now for me, I did verify the files first before I tested it and it said 5 files where needed to be replaced so maybe if you try that it might work for you.

Just figured out how to make it work. I found out my thrustmaster software have bit more optioms than just input lol. I enabled boosted FFB (Spring + FFB) what enables autocentering as well...still have to play around with sensitivity to keep me in lane but it somewhat works Also for other people who can't get it work, check software and find out if you have option for boosted FFB and make sure you have it on
