I am interested to knowing the extent of the writings, as well as any biblical information. As it's a Byzantine structure I don't have much hope for it. The previous video showing a Jewish Messianic church has mention of Yeshua's name. There needs to be a Greek translation of Jesus Christ in this archæology site. But Rome or middle eastern forces most likely destroyed the original building and the door. Because it would have bore the name of Jesus. Now all that remains is the renovation benefactor the one that paid for rebuild, which is fine. Would like an extensive list of text to what is found. Which appears to be two inscriptions at least.

A ladder entrance from above seems most logical, imo❣
@alisonmichael17412 жыл бұрын
@@lauraowen8142 Hi Laura, that is the only logical way. And the evidence is in the fact that these walls were built by the Crusading forces, not the church members. We are looking at two different eras. Unlike the church worshipers during the Byzantines, the crusaders were surrounded by Muslim enemy forces who ironically considered the crusaders as invaders . Visitors of old churches, like one near Cairo Egypt, would find the same technique where the worshipers would pull the ladder once they are inside.

In later times these valuable materials were used elsewhere. Tu-da!

The New Testament was wrote in Greek. He probably spoke some Greek yes. Did he not go to gentile territory? He did. I’m sure the Father could tell him any language tbh if it really came down to it. Some of the apostles were fishermen as well, meaning they would bring fish to various places, which would call for knowing gentile language to some extent. He probably could have learned from them as well.
@allisonharper18192 жыл бұрын
The answers we are provided are thought provoking and sometimes certainly questionable. He is called Jewish as well but the people were not labeled as Jew at that time, perhaps Judea with we know different sects of sadducees, pharisees and essenes. I’ve seen much research support he was an essene, who are also attributed the writing of the Dead Sea scrolls. This scenario makes sense as the narrative of how it goes aligns with the historicity. 🙏
@allisonharper18192 жыл бұрын
Particularly, The majority of the Dead Sea Scrolls are in Hebrew, with some fragments written in the ancient paleo-Hebrew alphabet thought to have fallen out of use in the fifth century B.C. With others in Aramaic. In addition, several texts feature translations of the Hebrew Bible into Greek. Also the copper scroll found has Greek stamping on it. It seems many of the people were capable of many languages.

several of the 'unexplained' features resemble things you'd find in a catholic or anglican church (perhaps orthodox too but I don't know their church layout very well). The pillar thing looks like a font, but with the top basin removed? The half-circular addition looks like an apse behind the altar. That's very normal. Perhaps the church was converted at a later date even than the renovations to add the new features, to make it more suitable for catholic pilgrims prior to the Islamic invasion? The apse in particular appears to be of a much weaker construction than the main building, as if it was added on by less skilled builders at a much later date.

To have had so little compared to what we have today, & still do such beautiful work in synagogues is remarkable! It shows where they put their treasure. Please look at the flood records for this spot. The original builders may have built water tight walls for flood protection. Your missing doors may have been replaced by stone or wood stairs on the outer wall. (you know those steps on a stone wall where the step just sticks out from the other stones?) This would also give protection from animal or human attack. P.S. use your ground penetrating devices to find the burials under that tile.

Just watching this truly makes me so happy. Being an Orthodox Christian, we proclaim that we are the "Original Apostolic Church". They discovered this church near the Sea of Galilee and have uncovered provable Greek mosaics dating from the 5th Century in the Byzantine Period, stating, "In the Days of our Ruler, Our Holy Father and Bishop". This language follows what we teach. So awesome! Glory to God! Evidence, not subjectivity.

@@SnRHi, interesting. Quoting what was said in the video: "That means Jesus could have walked these very grounds". As an uninitiated inquirer, would you please tell me which of your more than a hundred videos of your on-site adventures has the most finds or information. From which it can be clearly concluded that Jesus was a real person. That he could have ever walked there? In that part of the world and in that period that they write to us about in their scriptures. Thank you in advance for your answers!

Hello@@tattooairinc6308 . Welcome to the channel! There are multiple historic sources that align very well and describe Jesus being born, living, die, and even resurrect, in this region. Obviously the most common is the New Testament. While for most Christians aroudn the world it's a sacred document, it is also a historic one. There are good four accounts of Jesus (written by a few people). Besides the Bible, Josephus writings, who was not a Christian, but he did confirm the existence of Jesus Christ and the following of Jesus. There are many more such as Tacitus' Annals, and even the Talmud. So that establishes historical record. But we also have archaeological proof. There are multiple excavations that also confirms Jesus' existence and life in the land. Such as the discoveries in Nazareth and Bethlehem, where they led excavations in these areas and unearthed 1st-century homes and artifacts, aligning with the descriptions of Jesus' life. Then we have the Pontius Pilate Inscription: Found in Caesarea, this inscription is the only known occurrence of Pontius Pilate's name, corroborating the New Testament account. If you keep watching our videos, you'll come around many instances where we walk these sites and talk about it. But we recommend you to not trust anything a man says, that includes us, and make your own research. I just googled your question up, and found some good and interesting links. Here's one: biblearchaeologyreport.com/2021/04/02/top-ten-discoveries-related-to-jesus/ Good luck and godspeed in your research!

Could the unrecognized column with a table be a cardinal directions table, showing which way north, south, east and west are? Such an interesting place.

There are unearthed pit structures, that were built partially submerged in the ground and had ladders to enter at the top of the structure. 🤔 Curious if any of those have been uncovered in the region? Thanks for the interesting view of the area! 🙏

I was thinking the same thing, enter the structure from the top.

@@T-RexRita Me, too! Maybe a stairway coming down from the roof, which is now gone, obviously.

Yes, I thought the same. It may be similar to what we refer to as a basement

I'm praying there is something really cool on the floor that the Crusaders protected for the future by covering it and making people think it was a sugar factory, and blocked up any way in. That would be an amazing story.
