Again PERFECT timing for my bedtime. Can't sleep without having watched an ear cleaning video.

This was very unsatisfactory to watch because he did not show us if he removed all the wax. I wanted so bad to see what the ear drum looked like, (if there was a ear drum left). Since I have been a ear suffering since I was 7 years old. This past Friday I had major ear surgery on my left ear that had a clotlesteatoma ear cyst. I can’t wait to see what the outcome of my ear surgery. As well as pictures of my ear after ear surgery. I also was suffering from a non functioning station tube. I hope when my ear heals, that I have better hearing then before the ear surgery. Getting back to the video, it’s not like Dr. Raithatha to not complete a ear cleaning.

Every audiologist I have seen has said thick dead skin is extremely difficult to remove. I have to say, Neel you make it look effortless. You are so skilled in your work, and your bedside mannor is truly wonderful. I've unfortunately seen many specialists in my life, and only one had such a kind and compassionate bedside mannor. Your patients are extremely lucky to be under your care.

Oh my goodness Mr. Raithatha! That ear looks so extremely painful. I wonder how long one waits before going to see you when their ear is in this condition. I've been following you for approx 4 years now and it's so fantastic to see how much you have grown in your profession. It is my opinion that not only are you a talented and fantastic Audiologist, you're a wonderfully patient man and teach. I'm not patronizing you. That is not right nor my intention. It seems to me that you would do well in a university and should also hold a Ph.D. I'm very glad I happened upon your channel. I'm learning something and you're also a beautiful human being. More ppl should be kind and caring as you. Thx for your time. My name is Lucky Tutor from CA, USA.

Wow! That was a tenacious plug! I was literally twitching and moving my body in unison with you moving the K.O, to loosen it. Thanks for such a fab video Neel, it was so informative and fascinating to watch. I do hope that patient is okay, going forward, and gets all the best follow up care they need.

I appreciate when my physician calls, texts or sends a card as a reminder to schedule a needed appointment/procedure. I live in the US and although this procedure is not like an annual mammogram, it seems it inevitably will return. Nice job.

I thought the same thing initially. But after watching it 2-3 times I realized this is *one* ear. He starts the video about 10 minutes after he had started the procedure. Then after he had removed it all, he played the first ten minutes of the procedure. So the plug that is removed is the plug that he shows at the beginning and end.
@FlissFloss29065 күн бұрын
You do see the full removal. He rewound it to explain about the tools and how he works and how he tries to release the keratosis obturans from the canal wall. So you essentially see the whole thing and then see part of it for the second time.

Why are people complaining ?? He showed us one full ear. He shouldnt have had to repeat it again if he wasnt able to. This is Christmas time. You Grinches need to pull yourselves together and give this poor Man a break. Were lucky enough that he chooses to take time to film edit and upload. And all you cruel people only care about is trying to put him down. Now if you recall weeks ago he had a family member in the hospital and he was dealing with other personal things. I Sir am a huge fan of you. And i do not tolerate meanness of any kind. . to all you haters. Why dont you upload a video removing earwax like he can. I DARE you to. And then i dare you to make it way more better than his. Thing is you cant. Thing is you wont. And thing is. Your all bullys. So you can all get lunps of coal while He has amazing reviews and a huge fan following. Heh. Rant over. Merry Christmas Mr Neil

When I have my yearly checkup office staff have me self-address a post card. When it's nearly time for my next appt. they mail it to me. If postage is too much of an expense, you could create an email list for reminders. I appreciate reminders and I'm sure others do too. It's a busy world out there.

Neel, is your charge for this procedure the same as for any other procedure (i.e., you just charge for time), or do you charge patients a premium for removal of keratosis obturans? I ask because it appears to be much more physically arduous for you, the clinician, to remove keratosis obturans than anything else you do.

You should not have done those procedures. They were clearly surgical candidates. Surely, you could have referred the patient to a surgical professional. The severity would have moved them closer than normal (in your current health care situation in the UK). Causing the pain you did was not required. We can only hope the person is not permanently put off to seek out the proper medical attention.
