Neal, what a horrendous situation this patients both ears are in. It looked very wet and messy with out of control infection that seriously needed antibiotics. I hope this person returns to you after completing the course of antibiotics to have their ears checked again. I also was expecting to see a cholesteatoma, possibly with damage in their inner ear. If this infection persists, an urgent visit to their hospital ENT surgeon and a referral for a skull and ears MRI scan might be the best preventative solution. That much wet in their ear and inner ear might be prudent to request an urgent scan to exclude skull bone erosion.

Love that you took the patient’s concerns about olive oil spray seriously. Many doctors dismiss or minimize unusual reactions. Your empathy and work to help the patient find an acceptable alternative is commendable!

When I have my yearly checkup office staff have me self-address a post card. When it's nearly time for my next appt. they mail it to me. If postage is too much of an expense, you could create an email list for reminders. I appreciate reminders and I'm sure others do too. It's a busy world out there.

The choice of instruments was very odd. why not use the curette to scoop rather than just poking abd breaking rhe plugs?

I have NEVER seen a thumbs down, so to speak, on Mr. Raithathas evaluation. He's amazing in what he does. He carrys a 4 yr degree in audiology. I wouldnt trust ANYONE who uses ear irrigation as part of their treatment of ear cleaning. I praise him in his in his morals, efficacy in earwax removal, and talent. Mr. Raithatha i absolutely right to be annoyed. He obviously cares about patients and soon to be patients. He has experience, and studied and carrys a 4yr degree in this field. Question: would mineral oil or other petroleum based skin&wax softeners work for these people. -I think microbes can't feed off mineral oil.

Mr Neel, I have a silly question 🙋‍♂️ lol I gotta know, when you’re doing a removal, are you all business, or do you explain to the patient what you’re doing and at what portion of the ear? I picture myself talking out loud, “Ohh, big piece, here it comes!” Or, “This piece is so stubborn!”. I talk out loud to myself a lot, especially at work lol I’m curious if you do the same? 😂 Hope you had a Merry Christmas (if you celebrate). I found your channel a few weeks ago because of my own ears and now I’ve fallen asleep to them for the last couple weeks lol

I wish I’d never seen this video. My health plan does not offer anesthesia unless it’s something serious, everyone is given sedation. If desired. What isn’t mentioned here is that women who have had cesarean sections, hysterectomy, etc. often have difficult, failed procedures. My procedure failed, I was maxed out on IV meds and suddenly I was in absolute agony due to a sharp angle in my colon! My gastroenterologist immediately stopped. He was using a pediatric scope) d I couldn’t begin to handle that level of pain-I was in agony! Since my procedure was difficult and failed, I now have to go through the whole prep and a second colonoscopy, with general anesthesia. Do not listen to this “advice” if you have ever had any type of abdominal surgery-especially women!

Thank you for helping this poor patient who was in so much pain. I hope the antibiotics help him. I don't think I produce any ear wax. Every time I see a doctor, they just always say the ears are clear.

I never heard the term “fort nightly bases”. After hearing u say it numerous times, I finally looked it up. It means every two weeks 😂
