Can you folks make a supercharger for 49cc standup gas scooter.

How do you turbocharge or supercharge a two stroke? Remember that the exhaust port open before and closes last during the stroke. Unlike a 4-stroke there's no way to hold the pressure in the combustion chamber because the ports are already closed off. Never mind the fact that you're defeating the whole purpose of having an expansion chamber. If you're blowing air through the expansion chamber than that defeats the purpose of it using the sound wave to help push and then stop the air flow into the combustion chamber from the exhaust side. I just don't understand how this works it doesn't make good sense

tuned pipe should be a part of your build tho, remember, it dosent matter how much air and fuel you can pack into the combustion chamber if you cant get the burnt gasses out just as fast.

The actual psi varies depending on engine and Supercharger rpm, the horsepower gained also varies depending on the engine but ranges from 20 - 40%.

You ever try to adapt your super charger to an 1/5 scale airplane? It's tough to get enough power on those scale airplanes for better vertical performance. Also have you tried using E-85 ethanol fuel raise the boost?

I wish they made these for both a reeded crank case as well as a direct drive so you won't have to install a clutch

note boost bottles are very effective on larger 2 stroke engines, i raced motocross for 8 years, what i noticed is the smaller the engine, the harder it is to jet to run with a bottle. wouldent bother with it for an engine any smaller than 125 cc.

this may actually work, the nitro version is bs, but because this draws air as well as the fuel, the system wont lean out like the nitro version that only increases air flow.

Will it fit on a RCMK engine? Also, is the clutch housing milled a bit around the inside part of the outer edge of the clutch like a Zenoah or CY housing is? Would be interested in trying one out on a GoPed but the motor mount needs the milling.

Not Junk... just that comparing it with pump gas motors and nitro motors is apples and oranges... Nitro contains 2.3 times the energy of gas per pound when burned with a specific quantity of air.. Also, it is not a "roots" ( positive displacement ) type of supercharger, it would be in the class of "centrifugal " superchargers. But, you're quite right about it being "just a fan" .. Has no one put a pressure gauge across one for a reading? I find that un believable.. show me 3 PSI, I'll buy!!

Charles X Yeah, i am a dealer in these and the main problem i find is way too many people think you get a 6:71 blower, they work well & i find with my own truck i get a much smoother throttle response, before i lost too much acceleration wheel standing. 2 stokes hold boost just fine been running turbos in my snowmobiles for years the dino doesn't lie its more effective on reeded engines how ever it still works with other designs as long as you push more air than its leaking

For sure, its simple, all air and fuel come out from exhaust port when transfers open up. If it works fmf and pro circuit will dont have work making 2 stroke pipes. Only 2 strokes that runs with supercharger whas the diesel 2 strokes with exhaust valve

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This means that it takes a given amount of energy to compress a given amount of air. With superchargers, you have slightly higher friction losses and higher inertial loads to overcome. Additionally, a supercharger doesn't deal with otherwise 'wasted heat' that a turbo may effectively put to use. So you are correct... but that's the least of this thing's problems.

gauntster84 it is very difficult to get a turbo to work on a 2 stroke and even more so on one that small it is much better/easier/lighter to use a expansion chamber exhaust. but you are right on a 4 stroke gas there is nothing better/more efficient then a turbo.

If they made a nitro engine the size of a b5 engine the game would be over!!! There is really no need for power adders you still have to wait for the power band to kick inn; I hate weed eater motors they are slow!!! Nitro .21 will still smack that supercharged garbage if I want it to go faster just increase the nitro percentage...

lol a supercharger delivers constant power because its belt driven you don't have to reach a power band like with a turbo which has to spool up
