Soul Shards Return in Diablo 3 Season 30. This will be a crazy strong season with greater rift 150 cleared on multiple classes and builds in the opening weekend and almost every set/build in the game will be 150 viable.

Here is my 1-70 Run this morning for Diablo 3 Season 30 from the Asian Server... 1. I did get good RNG with the Diamonds 2. Bosses do not have a 100% Soul Shard Drop Rate (even on T1) - I think Magic Rock is a goer 3. Visions still drop Death Breaths and GR keys pre 70 (and lots of legendary items still) 4. The Butcher gave me a soul shard both time I killed him - maybe 100% or maybe just luck 5. It took another 2 hrs to solo the season journey and get the monk 6p (but it would take hrs for the whole vlog to render to cut it at 1 hr). You can then self PL on T6 with the 6p 6. since you are trying to solo season journey without the help of Haedrig, would it be faster if you just do the power leveling for your monk with 2p/4p so you can do rest of the journey with a partially geared monk?

I've never done a season without a challenge bag. Well, this season, because I'm an idiot, I re-rolled a self found character not realizing the stash gets lost when you do that. Thank God we had soul shards this season. Salvaging those and sell selling the gems was a god send. It was definitely good advice to just run all the way through the Haedrig rewards with a legacy of dreams necro. Was pretty fun rocking a level 1 monk with a full Inna set. Thanks so much for the content!

Blues normally recycle into 3-4 mats. However, blues from the Tristram event are an exception where you get only 1 mat per blue item (that might be where your info is coming from). Usually yellows are the "too small to pick up" but at this point we are in a different situation. White/Blue/Yellow conversions are possible, but only in lots of 100 mats.

I have a console only one neat trick ... shards and (maybe gold idr) are shared. You can complete the challenge rift on an alternate account, join your main account (that hasn't done the CR) into co-op, have the alt open the challenge cache to get the shards. Can theoretically do this however many times you have an alt account. You need to have beaten act iv and v game on your alt account and one neph right to unlock challenge rifts. I've done it when Kadala has been a complete biotch. Usually not worth it after day one of a season launch. It doesn't makes up for the massacre bonus AND neph glory nerf on console. But it's one console only perk.

Now that I've practiced a few times, the US CR is a cake walk. Elite hunter playstyle on the first level, just Spirit Walk between the elite packs, then on floor 2 just kill absolutely everything and you'll make the timer no problem. Make sure to keep Soul Harvest uptime at 100% otherwise you'll get deleted.

The butcher does not always drop a shard but this method was very quick. Got 8 diamonds from the rock.

You can grab templar weapon and shield, take the scoundrel bow. Salvage bow and shield will give u 16 white mats and u can still use the templar weapon to kill the bosses. Once you get the shards to get the blacksmith up you can salvage that weapon again if it allows you to craft the high lvl one. This way you still get the white mats from it but get that early game pump.. also i did 6 ZK runs in 5:30 Pretty much as 1 rock run. Do u think still faster to go rock?

Maybe. You might get 1 or 2 Soul shards so maybe 40% chance of Diamonds. All seems vert RNG dependant, but magic rock is a high chance at 85% and you might get a soul shard from the Butcher.

as I see you can go 30 boss runs without getting any diamonds as the soul shards are already RNG and the diamonds again are RNG. with rock it's 2 like 99% that you get it. on the other hand people always forget that you can change the gem with cube recipe with Act2 materials, it costs decent gold but might be quicker(?)

You can actually reach level 2 without doing any fighting at all. If you go around and read 10 books that are just lying around you get your first level. The blacksmith in New Tristram has the one from his dead wife, the barbarian vendor in the Stronghold has one and you can pop around the map to a bunch of places which have satchels right beside the waypoints, like the one you read when going for Maghda and each of the levels of Leorics Manor has a book stand you can just grab and leave. Thats just a few I can think of off the top of my head but there are 10 easily accessible ones and boom, level 2 with zero effort or fighting. I find this very useful if Im playing Hardcore to get my Necro to level 2 with no risk.

The only way I know to speed up your cube run is to reload bounties and look for "The Cursed Bailey" its the only one that can spawn in the Elder Sanctum. It will give you a nice map tip telling you where to go.

On my practice run on EU since I play NA I tried killing Kule 5 times and got no soul shards, cut my losses and went to get the cube and level to 18 while doing so, got the 2 diamonds in 2x Kule kills at 18. I probably will try to kill him once on NA if no drop go straight to the cube on master and get 18.

Here's a little rant: Convince me otherwise or stop reading my whining right now! 😁 I've been playing Blizz games since Diablo II. Started my CS1.6 public server back in the early days, (it never took off because ISPs in Belgium kept nuking upload speeds). I had the pleasure of seeing World of Warcraft rocketing to a nr 1 game worldwide. It was a time when raids in Wow needed at least 40 people, 40 members to play, and every participant needed to listen and respect the instructions given by the guildmasters. It usually took 2 weeks to kill 1 single boss. As you can imagine, getting 40 people to listen and follow instructions was quite a feat at the time (25+ years ago). I cannot even imagine how y'd go about doing this today...😏 Anyway, that was just a little history lesson. Now to Diablo 3: I've played just about every season. Totaling 10k+ hours. Even with 10k hours played, my total Paragon level is less then 5000 in non-season. I tend to loose interest past paragon 1500 during season and i hate farming. ( i guess i love "lava" 😁😎) The reason i still play season: I like doing 1 to 70 (no power leveling, just lvl at my own rythm). I love adjusting my builds and let them depend on random different loot. Playing around with different talents, depending on the level and the items you get... I love making the best of whatever the game throws at me. I like trying out new builds and trying talents i rarely ever use. After a few days, at lvl 70, you then spend a week or 2 on the season journey. Meanwhile getting your 6-piece set and improving/ finding new pieces and legendaries. Now here's what happens today: It takes 1 hr to level 1 to 70. (2 minutes if you power level) After that, people activate their bot. 2 months later, bot has 7k paragon and your character is full primal. Then they go for some top 10 ranking... Blizz usually only bans those with 8k para or higher so on top of that, chances are at the end of season they take 8k paragon to normal. Why the F. would anyone still play legit??? Farming endless hours hoping to get that 1 little piece of upgrade...? To make matters worse you need - the right map + - the right mobs + - the right pilons + - the right order in which pilons spawn + - the right Boss.... So i'm sorry to say but: FY Blizz for screwing up a wonderfull game! Guess what. Season 29 i held 5 different spots in the top 10 ladders. That was because of the paragon cap. Most people played LEGIT last season! We actually had a chance of competing! It was not worth botting because of the paragon cap. And so people like me, casual players, actually had a chance getting into top ranking and competing against other "legit" players. It was great fun and honestly one of the best seasons i had played in many years! 🤘😎

The altar makes every item have a level requirement of 1 for your character (note the items are still level 70 for follower and players with out the node).

Great video but I have to critique one thing. You shouldn't abandon picking up blues so early because in order to convert reuseable parts into blues you're going to need at least 1 Death's Breath. You can get up to 4 Arcane Dust per blue item. With the nerfed drop rates in Visions unless you get lucky to get multiples (remember you're going to need to need some to convert Reuseable Parts into Veiled Crystals too) you're going to spend more time trying to get enough DBs than it's going to take to TP back to town with a full inventory, run to the blacksmith, salvage all, and TP back even if you have to do it multiple times in a long Vision.

I'm kinda new to seasonal playing and high level game. I have played the story twice on different characters in the past. Currently I made a seasonal character and just played the story to level. I'm at level 67, playing on torment 2 to increase XP. Am I playing wrong? Lmao. I'm sure im missing tips and tricks of how to level and gear besides just playing the story.

So what do you do if you want to play something else than Necro, say a Monk? Do you use the Necro to collect gold and mats for a lvl 70 weapon and then switch to Monk and craft the weapon and level it up?

What the true speedrunners will be doing is running necro to level 70 and finishing the full season journey in around 2-3 hours total and then swapping off to whatever their main char is to collect haedrigs and continue from there.

I know that pros will do what you describe, but I'm not sure I can go through chapters 1-4 as a necro faster than as a monk. Monk with Crudest Boots would even be comparable to necro for leveling up, but if I don't open the cache I don't have the blood shards to gamble for them.

@@fanemanelistu9235 Honestly you can just run monk immediately, you'll be maybe 30-45 minutes slower but a little bit of luck could go a long way on boss drops and such. I'd just play what you enjoy and are comfortable on and you won't be substantially behind on the season start.

It's harder on switch as you do less damage without the neph glory orbs and I'm not sure the density is quite as good. Also, on Switch you can 'Massacre bonus' level inside Greater Rifts where you also have better drop odds But, it should still be a fast strategy just maybe in 2 hours or so

qol hack for you. if you use the t key teleport in base and use then the map to teleport you get to keep your portal at the place you tp'ed using the t key
