What I really seem to like about these tamiya/Flyhawk models is that you can put in as much or as little detail as you like. You don't HAVE to make the little metal AA Guns, but it's an option for you. Or you can also put them in later. I'm sort of understanding that, I'm also realizing that it's probably easier than it looks if you take things methodically. I've only ever built some model planes and they're alright but I REALLY want to deep dive in, and I really want to make everything look just right. I think i'd like to tackle the Bismarck for my first ship.

My biggest issue with folding these parts is sometimes the part breaks at the fold. Also my poor eyes just can't see the folds at that small a detail. So thanks Ebroin for showing me it can be done. Time to try again - where's that HobbyBoss 1/700 USS Arizona I stashed five years ago?

As a Ret. U.S.S. Missouri BB63 sailor, Plank Owner & Golden Shellback, this WWII build took way to long to complete! But thinking about sitting down for hour after hour and doing this.. made me feel actually sick to my memories of Post WWII Missouri, a place that I called home for 8years! I watched them pull the Mo into Dry Dock #1 at LBCH Naval ship yard, I was a Recommissioning Crew Member 10 May 1986, Pier 32, San Francisco harbor! Try something a little less Painstaking and Current of the Mo, "KBMO, BB63" " Strength for Freedom, VIS AD LIBERTATEM "! Thanks but an Hour was Too Much for Me!

Insane detail. Fantastic. Put some tainted transparent behind the bridge windows next time. Windows look fairly dark on real ships and the see through immediately betrays the model which could otherwise easily fool you for either a much bigger model or even the real thing!

4:50 The moment I drop it on the floor, it OF COURSE lands upside down and as I roll my chair back to pick it up the front wheel rolls over the whole thing and turns all the guns into little, ruined pancakes! 3 seconds later is when the whole model kit shatters against the wall and I go do something else.
