Nice good job making your own I was lazy and bought my kit. I know how much of a pain it is cause I did it when I did my turbo upgrade and manifold cleaning. Now I blew my motor so I had to pull the motor and install my spare from donor and I'm moving everything over cause I was lazy and didn't remove the cooler like you did. With the engine out in the open it's a pain in the A. Good job every step was detailed and even gave tools needed.

@jaxon.frandrup Жыл бұрын
@@xaviersrose9 to be honest man, the one on top of the cooler you really don’t need if you’re fully deleting the egr system. The one on the side (the first one I broke, and ordered) is kinda important for a BEW intake manifold. That one controls little butterfly valves in the intake runners. If you switch to a BRM or PD150 intake manifold you can delete that, and get improved flow/efficiency/power/torque/milage, all of that. Deleting that line just means putting another plug in it I guess. I haven’t had issues with mine yet and it’s been a few years so

Why would you order a part that shuts half your intake flow ? Imagine being so stupid you delete the egr for more power and clean air and then you replace the swirl flap actuator
@robertproctor42659 ай бұрын
Does the egr delete 100% prevent build up in the intake? Also any pros/cons for leaving the egr cooler in place?
@MegaCasey094 ай бұрын
The crank case valve cover has an evap for oil to get in the intake as well so the egr mixed with the oil is bad but it's 100% of the exhaust at least, just not engine oil

Hey bud. Awesome video. I have an o6 passat 1.9tdi BKC motor. I'm planing a egr and the cooler delete. As far as I have read... Only issues there after would be the check light and it would possibly run little hotter. Would you recommend this delete?
@jaxon.frandrup Жыл бұрын
yes, i love it. it takes a while for the heater to warm up in the cabin, but other than that there’s no bad side effects

L eft the cooler and plugs in place just router the coolant lines and removed the egr flap and I don't have a code less work but the cooler will still be there in the way. If you live in a cold place don't do it. My heater would not keep up in -20 and my feet was freezing enough to get frost bite I stopped at gas station to buy heated blanket. Only do it if you live in a warm climate.
