I never let the stylist trim the ends that are sticking out of my braids. That will only cause a bigger problem for the client when they take the braids out. The natural hair will be choppy and bushy with even more split ends of you do this method. I also never allow them to burn the split ends either. Try using edge booster on the ends of the client hair while your installing the synthetic hair it prevents the hair from sticking out. I always do this when I’m working on my clients. It’s also about the way that you braid the hair to hide the ends inside of the synthetic hair as you’re braiding other than that I love how you do the parts and it looked really nice when you were done.

I remember one of the girls used to say this way back in hair school when I went to never cut the fly aways. She used to say catch them with the jam while braiding.

In nz it's so expensive. I really like the waist or booty length and in order for me to get that style it will cost me at least 500 to 600. Arggggh I literally choke at the price haha I'm a mama of two on a budget and I'll only spend that kind of money on my kids when it comes to emergencies or something not for my hair haha so now I box braid my own hair because I definitely don't have money to do it professionally. Thanks for,the vids it looks so nice. I'm off to get me and my daughter hair extensions ..gotta love #D.I.Y

Please help. I have an 8yr old with super fine hair and not a lot of it either. She wants box braids. I am great with hair, my mum wanted me to be a hairdresser. Two questions. 1. Can this be done on super fine hair, I have synthetic hair? 2. We are Australian Caucasian, is there anything special is should do to the hair? What ingredients are in edge control? Do I need that? My daughter has plenty of flyaways. Lots of short hair with long hair. Hair is slow growing and some hair has not caught up yet to the longer parts of her hair and she won’t let me cut it

So the only question I have, since you can't see with how your hands are positioned, is do you split the natural hair into 3 when you're looping the braiding hair? Or do put her hair all into one of the strands and start braiding? Not sure if that makes sense. Like with the starting 3 stitches of the braid, do you grab a piece of her natural hair, like you would a cornrow or just grab all the hair with the first stitch?

For all box braid lovers make sure you do NOT braid the edges because our edges are super delicate and when they are being pulled, they tend to break. So that was just a little tip! I know this wasn't relevant in this video but, its just a little tip for all you bix braid lovers! Also excellent braiding and its super detailed 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

How long do they take on average. I work 12 hr days and I'm trying to see how I can fit giving myself braids will work
@loservilla83146 жыл бұрын
Amber Roman the amount of time depends on the person who's doing your hair because people have different speeds and also it depends on what type of style you're getting. Small braids like that can usually take 2 hours or more to do.
@Keketothrowed6 жыл бұрын
Aleast 5 hours if your doing it your self
@geminipeterson22426 жыл бұрын
Amber Roman Depends on the size of the braid & length. Small/micro braids take longer. On average Medium braids about 6 hrs. , Jumbo braids 3-4 hrs.Depends on the braider. i recommend prepping your real hair and the braiding hair the night before or you can buy Spectra EZ Braid it's already stretched for you.
