I love playing Arachne in joust. I wish she wasn't absolutely dog shit in the game mode lol. But you played this well, seeing that Shiva and MLF have so many ways to stop your damage. GG Trelli

Hard CC on an Auto-Attack assassin, with an AA stem, is just a bad mechanic. Honestly, the overabundance of CC in smite in general is just bad game design. However, characters like Arachne & Ravana having hard CC on a low CDR ability is just toxic. Hard CC should be reserved for Guardians & Ults specifically. Everything else should be soft CC. Slows, silences, etc etc.

Aracne even after the buffs is pretty easy to counter. He mobility is really bad unless she ults in which case she can’t escape. She also only gains movement speed while walking in practically a straight line with her 3

@@drdoomer8553 Here's why it's a bad mechanic: let's set I'm playing Ama, Bell, Nem, or any other AA character, it now becomes too risky to box into her. Especially, mid-late game. That changes my playstyle to basically just avoiding arachne & hoping someone else can deal with her. If she hits you with her spiders, she''s probably catching you. Which means you have to deal with her autos, the spiders which are basically NuWa soldiers/Bastet Cat, and the fear of being hard CC'd. So, unless you can poke her from long range, it's better to just try to hide from her, or hopefully catch her lacking.

@@drdoomer8553 I know it's hard for people to understand, but in a MOBA/Fighting game, the deciding factor should rarely be "Hahaha, you can't move, I win". It's not longer about skill & more about who makes 1 mistake first & gets CC'd into oblivion.

@@AmericanIlluminati aracne will out trade other AA’s except maybe vamana or Ao kuang, but she gets countered by most things. Cc hard counters because she only gains movement in a straight line. Point a to point b Mobility counters because she can only catch up with ult in which case she loses escape. Burst mages counter because they’ll burn her down before she even gets close unless in ult. The whole “yeah but if I’m a certain character, I get countered” seems to apply to almost every character except for a few

@@drdoomer8553 Arachne gets countered by Mages & some hunters. That's it. Arachne's build consists of the Katana tree. So, she's got movement speed. That A to B mobility thing is pretty irrelevant. It just makes things worse if she takes advantage of it. Understand, I'm not saying my beef is that she counters certain characters. My beef is that she counters entire classes. I'm a JG main & since the buff, I've insta-banned Arachne in every game. There's not too many worthwhile assassins that don't have to smash their face into Arachne to fight her. Same with warriors. Nobody cares about supports. I say all this while having ZERO issues with Kali btw.
