Get a bow as 2nd weapon, skill lightning rod, take the 3 weapon swap speed nodes>watch everyhing melt including bosses. Also go herald of thunder instead, for lightning res mobs and such grenades with gas. For those that dont wanna run the typical grenade build

Using a bow with lightning rod seems to me to be better than the electric nades. If you set up the hotbar to have lightning rod and galvanic rounds on it, your character auto swaps between bow and xbow automatically. Its been super fun. I did take the passive nodes with weapon swap speed so I lost a few points there, but it seems to work well following this build as a template. Also + to proj skills helps a ton on your bow/xbow.

I was doing a similar build with bow and xbow. My main concern is that you don’t get benefits from the quiver when it’s in your second weapon slot and if you put it the first slot you get price herald of power with your xbow. In the second weapon slot. How are you getting around this?

Just finished act 2 with this build and its amazing. Bosses get deleted with Shock Burst rounds. Galvanic clears really well. Having a blast so far.

I’m doing a similar build, focusing on herald of lighting and getting shock procs increased has increased my damage a ton.

Just ignore herald, put whatever in it. It’s just extra damage, eventually you’ll want to either fully commit to lighting or pivot to something else for the later game.

Idk if u gonna answer, but my question is why do u use a bow as a second weapon? Since u can only use the crossbow for things i dont really understand the useage of another weapn u cant really use

You're level 29 in a level 20 zone for your gameplay. I was having fun with this ability but grenades just ended up being way better after 33 or so.

@@Bigdaddytehpwnerereerr Ah lol!!! So putting any support gems into "crossbow shot", doesn't have effect? About "Crossbow Ammunition" is written (ingame) QUOTE: Crossbow basic Attacks can be modified with Ammunition Skills.

I dont get it, galvanic shard does not build up electrocution? I keep using it at boss but hardly do any ailment to them. Can you explain how it work dealing with bosses, single target. Wave clearing is really well though

Honestly I have to say I don't recommend pathing a dozen nodes just for resolute tech on any build. The accuracy demands are not that high. Usually the "misses" are bugged terrain interaction that resolute technique will not help with (a certain boss arena comes to mind... hello Titan). My experience of painful pathing was on the warrior though but consider how many other +accuracy or +dmg nodes you could pick up right where you already are in the tree.

Explosive shot with scattershot deletes everything. Act 3 and just streamrolling. Gas grenades on bosses and detonate.

Early days this might work fine, i wonder how endgame will go though, no doubt they've tuned the bosses to require certain combos, and as soon as someone finds some mirror tier gear/passive combos that will negate everything in order to 1 skill the whole game again, i wonder how that will effect the whole feel of the game to GGG considering that's apparently what they're trying to move away from.

should be fine with gear. keep in mind you are supposed to use combos "early game" as well

Yeah its EA, but still as they say first impressions and all that, and given GGGs track record of being stubborn, i don't see this game going very well for the majority of players for at least another year at the absolute minimum.

I played throughout the campaign, it was so smooth. But when I got into maps, I'm currently facing a super big wall. The damage start to lack real hard. The only thing saving me is proc shock on ennemies, but with galvanic dealing not a lot of damage, it's becoming really hard to proc shock. I put almost every node of shock chancee I could, using the shock gem supp and it still feel not enough. Sad, I had fun a bit at least :/

I was doing a similar build and i cannot kill the act 2 boss lol Been playing poe since 2013 as well. I think the game is too favored towards skill interaction combos right now. Like gas grenade detonate, or flame wall spark. Going to have to farm gold just to respec. May just level another char at this point.

Probably need better weapon. I'm lv 43 atm and its no where near "falling off". this kinda builds requires a good weapon to be functional. constant upgrades are going to be needed.
