Don't forget that in upcoming 1.34, You can be able to become a HRE Elector wether through force with a special Casus Beli,through peace by buying The Electorate or just be The Emperor with a special decisions. All three of options required to subjugate a Elector first in order to get those three options of becoming a HRE Elector

If you wanna make it even funnier. Take PU over Bohemia in first 1-2 years (really easy to do). Maybe some other "luck" based PU or Milan. And when you do Burgundian Inheritance you do inherit those as well :D. + in 20:31 you had Pretender rebels, if you would let them take over your country (France most likely didn't have enough man to kill them) you would be free :D.

So dunno if now it works the same, in worst scenario you could force culture? That still would be worth.

So there's a solution to the austrian war part when the inheritance event fires if you bring austria into a war with you before the event then they cant declare war on you when the event fires if you choose to remain independent. This means you keep the lowlands and the austrians will vote to bring you into the empire which will get the entire hre to essentially vote for it as well

Actually I had Austria support me in war against the French and what happened was they immediately left the war with the french and declared on me separately.

A couple of patches ago if you managed to vassalise france before the inheritance fired you could choose the france PU but since they were your vassal they'd just get instantly annexed and you'd be independent. Took a hell of a lot of RNG to go your way for it though. Needed Charles to live a long time so that you could get france small enough to force vassalise.

hot tip; after placating Nevers remember to get a royal marriage with them. When you take land and create Champagne you only need to enact strong duchies to get them loyal

I literally just tried this. And got my ass handed to me. My king died early. France was able to win the war against engalnd before i could undue their gains. I some how got fort blocked by provence, and couldnt get back to my kingdom until i took their fort. They let me pass into the northern part tho idk how that works. And while i seiged down that fort. They were able to win the seiges in my capital, nevers and my lvl 2 fort next to my capital. And even tho i did the public wheel mission their vassals were helping them quite alot. Hiring the free company that early really screwed me too. I should have waited like a year or so. Ive done burgundy before. But this guide relys alot on getting the timing of everything right.

Correction: scornful insult works with the mission. The forts in Luxemburg and Namur are useless, bc the fort in Rethelois (that belongs to Nevers) is already blocking them, and you can get it to lvl 3 by seizing the province and releasing Champagne. The fort in Picardie is actually super useful, bc its coastal and the french will never have naval superiority when at war against England, which means 3 additional siege ticks needed. Also, Burgundy has half priced lvl2 admin advisors at the start to five you -10% stab cost. Saves you 10 more admin mana at the beginning. also, keep in mind, league of the public weal adds +50% LD to the vassals, which have like 5% at the start. and then it ticks down every month, so unless you kill France's armies (which is insanely hard to do in the new patch), they will fall below 50% pretty quick.

King Ludi, could you check this game logic? I don't have Emperor, but I imagine it makes Burgundy a strong candidate for "Atwix Legacy" if you DON'T absorb your PUs. First, improve relations with electors. Become emperor, but DON'T add yourself to the empire. Use Authority or strategic wars to replace theocratic electors with minor monarchies like Brunswick or Wolgast. Lose the emperorship. Make the new emperor hate you. Turn in the "Secure the Succession" mission. If all goes well, the emperor will refuse your entrance to the empire, and you will get 7 restoration CBs. Even easier if Saxony keeps Thuringia, or Brandenburg gets and keeps Ansbach-Bayreuth. End result should be 10+ PUs (low countries + electors).

4:43 Yea, about not being able to sell crown lands with anymore...I'm assuming that was after the "France" update, but I looked through the patch notes and couldn't find a mention of it. Maybe I just missed it. My last 3 runs have all started off super frustrating because I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working anymore (also because I'm an idiot and forgot each time that it hadn't worked on the previous runs)

@@derLeon16 Guess my wording was bad. Yes, of course you can still sell titles at 10%, that's working as it should. But the meta used to be to grant privileges at the start of the game to reduce your Crownlands to zero, develop once in order to get a small percentage, far less than 10%, then sell titles. I'm lamenting that loophole being closed.

They won't attach if they're disloyal make sure to take the mission just before going to war so most should be at 55% and try pick off smaller stacks before they group up

@@LudietHistoria I think I did quite slowly. I ask Castile because they have better morale. I wait castile to attack south and I use tech 4 advantage. I didn't cancel the forts and didn't use champagne (just because I forgot that I just cede France province to Nevers. ) So once, the French armies siege down the forts. They came into the lowlands. I re-siege them soon because of the garrison. The French are stuck in lowlands. When I declare France, I march Provence and stackwipe the weak armies early, so they peace out early. The outcome is similar. Orlean is disloyal. large AI armies siege a fort.

21:35 Regarding this statement, if Austrians declare on you while you are under the France PU. Don't let the Austrians win. They gave me independance like Ludi said, but also used 75% of the remaining warscore to release half of the lowlands (which you don't have cores on anymore). And you can't diplo vassalize them afterwards because they are part of the empire. Would personally only recommend letting the austrians win if you have like a 14 year truce remaining with the French and desperately want to be free. Otherwise just wait the Truce out with the French and just declare war of independance and keep all your stuff.

I just did this achievement run all the way to vassalize france and austria. Forming Lotharingia triggered a massive coalition to get it done before Marie died. In integrated the PU's the old fashioned way though

In the new update, I just check to see which mana point I make the most of, and don't give the privilege to that estate. That way I can still sell titles, and when I need it later on (and I have my crownland back) I can give it out then. Is the 1 extra mana point worth more than getting 200 or even upwards of 500 ducats for some nations before even unpausing?
