Awesome video on the banshee. I just recently purchased a 2005 banshee. Used and things ran good for a week. Now I’m having issues with opening it up full throttle. Starts to sputter and bog down. It idles just fine when you start it up. Just when you get going and throttling up.

I just bought a banshee and had to rebuild it and I'm having problems with it running rich on all stages and it seems to bog in all stages I dont get a crisp sound at all. Do I need to screw out the air mixture screw or do I need new carbs?? I'm really new to banshee and cant seem to figure it out lol. Any help thanks

My banshee bogs a little on on idle when I give it some throttle I tried adjusting the air screws to half turn out n it seems to still bog a little do I need bigger pilots I just rebuilt the motor 64mm pistons cool head with 20-21cc domes n fmf gold series pipes I got 300 mains in rn but the pilots that came with the jet kit don’t have the size numbers on them

Great video brother, very informational and you cover everything. I have a basically stock banshee, other than Toomey T5s and k&n air filter pods. I live in Oregon about an hour and a half from Winchester Bay. My elevation here is only around 500 feet. I used to have a stock banshee and never messed with anything in the carbs. My question on my new to me banshee is, for my pipes(T5s) and pod air filters, where is a good place to start with jets, main and pilots? Also, whats a good fuel mix ratio to start at? I always ran 40:1in my old stock banshee, and I would rather have more oil than not enough. Thanks for any help.

I have a question So yesterday I put a whole new top end on my banshee and cleaned the carburetors good like how I learned from your video (how to clean carbs) but now when I go to crank my bike up it won’t start.... (cold start ) it only starts if I spray carburetor spray in the carbs do you have any idea or Solutions? PLEASE NEED YOUR HELP!!! OH YEAH AND I ALREADY BROUGHT BRAND NEW SPARK PLUGS AND IT WONT START unless I spray carburetor cleaning into the carbs

Just picked up a 02 yamaha banshee. Runs, drives, and idles. Gas comes out the overflow, its a constant drip. I also noticed it doesnt always want to open up, seems as if its cutting in and out. Im guessing it needs the carbs cleaned? Its bored .40 over with vitos super stock pistons, k&n pods, v force 3 reeds, not sure about porting, any tips would help. Gonna rip the carbs off tomorrow and clean them out. Hopefully thags the issue. Im about 1600ft above sea level. Another thought i had was maybe its running a little rich.

Just got a 98 banshee it starts after a few kicks but turns off at idle. If I try to give it gas it chocks after a few secs and turns off. New to 2 strokes I changed the plugs and checked carbs looked okay

Just bought my banshee from an older guy My banshee is throwing more smoke on the right side when it starts but evens out when warm up . 3rd time I turn it on today and my throttle got stuck wide open had to turn it off did that twice today not sure what that is . I only run tha quad once since I had it ran good probably been two weeks since I turn her on

I've got a problem my bike runs good and strong when I'm in the throttle pretty good. But if I'm in the woods or climbing hills in tight area I have to stay on the clutch because it takes way to long for the power to come on good. I've changed jets up and down sizes raised and dropped the needles when I'm in the power it runs great. But sucks in the woods. Any info would be great thanks I've watch all your videos and dont know what to try.

How often does the pilot get clogged up? I cleaned it back in 2016 and only ride it once a month. But Christmas 2018, everyone was riding then we had to stop cause the right side got was cold after a few hours in. I did not think it was the carb cause I thought it would stay clean long like my raptor. Thanks for this video. I know the source of the problem now.

Off topic but iam separating a banshee case and i have everything off i watched your video on separating cases but i belive it has been apart once and i belive they used a diffrent sealent or something its a white ish sealent and the cases wont split i been trying to beat on it with a hammer and they wont seperate iam scared i might break the case if i hit it to hard what should i do

brayp211 if you didn’t get it by now, make sure you didn’t miss a bolt or not. The one by the clutch arm can be sneaky. I have seen some cases get really stuck. You just have to keep working with them until they start to separate

Hey man just did a top end rebuild on a 2001 banshee that sat for like 8 years. Clean out the carbs pretty well I thought. Put new reeds in and new oil. Bike will start with starter fluid and will keep running if throttle is applied but will not idle. It will just die if you let it. I know there’s nothing you can do without seeing the bike but, is there any tips or tricks you could pass along my way? Thanks buddy love the videos.

First off I want to say your videos are a huge help. Thank you for them. Quick question. I have an 02 banshee stock. Just ordered v force 4 reeds, pro circuit pipes, k&n filter with pro flow adapter. Stock air box with holes. I'm in Miami about 8' above sea level and mostly in the 80's temperature. I ordered 27.5 pilots and 330 mains. Does this sound about right for the jetting?

Franky U That’s gonna be a little rich but your definitely close. An air box with a lid and holes would fall around the 290-300 range. No lid 310 Pods 320-330

A little bit off the topic but so I have an ebay fly wheel and the bike won't ever idle right, starts up cold easy and will always die after a minute or 2 but that's it....I've tried leaning it out and then a smaller pilot no luck my idle screws are even all the in now and it made a very small difference

Guys my right pipe smokes but my left pipe dont smoke at all eany tips or hints plzz?. All i can remember i replaxed the needle and seats and when that was replaced i brought the atv back to my house . The 1st thing i did was pulling out the choke and then the right carb suddenly leaks alot of feul. Closed the feul line after that . Then i gave my 1st start but after the 1st start no smoke on the left just on the right . But the bike seems to run fine . ?? Help please

Rolando Figueroa sounds like choke tube is leaking , reeds are weak , dirty pilots or possibly low compression. Sorry I can’t be more precise.
