Hey sorry but why would you set the idle with the cable if it was already done with the idle screw and how do you get the needed freeplay in the thumb throttle .hope your screw on the throttle wasn't all the way in ... you need to set idle screw to reach idle rpm play with air screw one way and other way to find happy medium set idle screw again since playing air air screw will change rpm then sync carb with aircrew and make sure carb clean idle screw barely pushing the slide up or gaz will flow straight to main jet

How many turns out do you have on air screw?
@kingclark1007 жыл бұрын
My banshee. I'm having troubles with it running lean (poping & crackling) the bike is all stock besides fmf fatty pipes on it, have stock makuni carbs with stock jets I mix 40:1 my elevation is usually always below 800ft/250meters I have my main needle on my throttle set on the second clip from the bottom #2
@kingclark1007 жыл бұрын
Also the air screw is two turns out, and I was wondering should I put fmf jets in it will it make the difference I like my bike rich on the smoking side... thanks
@kingclark1007 жыл бұрын
I meant #4 clip position sorry
@luvjoebacon29157 жыл бұрын
kc woodzie Are you the original owner for the Bike? Also the best mix for them is 35:1. Any leaner isn't great. Also make sure you mix it with how much you have in a tank. I personally like mixing with 5 gal gas tanks since I use a lot of gas in the desert, so I have to do 35:1 twice since my mixture measure cup only goes to 2.5 gals
