So it needed a larger pilot if your .5 turns out from seated. More pilot would allow more air screw adjustability and help to lean the needle from full rich to probably 3rd or 4th clip instead. Plug chop the main.

Man, I still want to see you do a full TRX250R build, and make it an XC race bike… nobody does full XC builds on KZbin, especially on 2-strokes. You could potentially be the first to my knowledge. Everyone either builds drag bikes or MX bikes. Hell, I even see people building quads for the street, but never for cross country racing. And with a lot of the trail riding I’ve seen you doing I think an XC build would fit the bill really good for a good daily trail rider. Also, nobody ever builds banshees for any other racing except drag racing anymore. I feel like if you did some research on the sport of cross country racing you could probably build a banshee that could compete pretty good.

@StupidFastJohn6 ай бұрын
I have never had a set of cometic gaskets with a sealer built into it for an atv or a banshee. I put 3 bond or yamabond on all paper or felt gaskets to give the best seal for the crankcase. Intakes and cylinder base are a well known leaking point on all yamaha banshees... do you booboo 🤙

Plz people dont use a toothbrush or any wire brushes to clean mating surfaces unless u have all ports, holes, crevises, anything anywhere junk can fall into totally covered and i mean covered up wellll. Let a bristle or 2 fall down into the bottom end. U dont think shit of it til a wired bristle gets down in a roller bearing, or goes thru an oil passage or even worse imagine that guy gets hung up in the oil squirter jet. Or it gets hung up in on or god forbid it penetrates and damages a seal.. so many bad things can come maybe not immediately but sooner rather than later itll have a cause and affect scenario happen. And ud be none the wiser if it was to ruin a bearing and destroy itself in the process ud think it was just a bad part. In reality u caused the bad part.
@StupidFastJohn6 ай бұрын
I see your point about putting something in the crankcase. There was nothing on the cases that could fall in on this one though thats why i didnt touch base here. Ive been using plastic brushes to clean the surfaces for many years without any issues. A plastic bristle wont do damage to steel imo.

I run 280 mains, stock pistons with mild ported cylinders, fmf fattys, stock dual carbs with dual long k@n filters, v force-4 reeds , and a coolhead , , I honestly think the jetting needs to be upped , it made a major difference on my banshee, my buddy runs 300 mains in his banshee, 175 mains sound lean to me , but with the large mains my fuel consumption is retarded but the power difference is crazy 🤪 and my plugs are beautiful coffee coloured

@Kev-N420006 ай бұрын
I have no idea what the main jetting on a single carb like that would be tho, I would think ya gotta double the mains on a single but I’m most likely wrong about that lol, if it were mine I’d rip that single carb off and put dual carbs back on with 300mains and take it for a rip and see if there’s a big difference 🤔
