I love Tim Keller's sermons. I listen to him while I'm working.

I always appreciate a good reference from CS Lewis’s Screwtape Letters. Keller does this often and it always draws me in.

“To a man, sex is the most meaningful declaration of love and self-worth... ...when reduced to pleasure alone, no wife can possibly meet a husband’s expectations.” ~ Gary Thomas, “The Sacred Marriage”

best words worth repeating "Are you married? Don't try to be single. Marriage is great... Are you single? Don't kill yourself to get married, marriage is hard!”

On 2nd listen, starting 6:35 I hear how the church has neither the liberal nor conservative lens but sees clearly. Praise!

19:00 or so the quote from CS Lewis fiction is from a tempter. There's no marriage "eternally endured". I get the impression our marriages will be transcended in heaven by a new marriage

Summary: This sermon by Timothy Keller on 1 Corinthians 6-7, provides helpful, thoughtful, yet practical insights from the apostle Paul's teachings on sex and marriage. Keller juxtaposes two prevalent cultural views: that sex is insignificant or inherently sinful. He emphasizes that sex is a powerful act of unity. By God’s design, sex is best within marriage. Keller further stresses that various sins, including materialism and gossip, are equally damaging to community as sexual immorality-all stemming from prioritizing individual needs over other’s well-being. Keller also offers counsel for those struggling with sexual self-control, highlighting God's forgiveness and the importance of a balanced perspective on marriage.

Great sermon by Tim Keller! I liked the imagery of sexuality to chemistry that if you come together to have sex, it is like your whole spiritual chemistry changes for both you and your wife/husband. You change each other profoundly in a one flesh union.

I know you are speaking the truth and your sermons take me to a place of deep understanding. In saying all of this I find it so shallow of how you quote CS Lewis and yet there there are so many saints who sacrificed their lives and endured torture for our faith. How can someone who is so incredibly deep be so shallow has something to hide. We are all one “sarca” one flesh and yet you tear it apart.

@@angiewoodward4166 I have to agree. Sounds like religious gibberish about an opinion, but lacking reason or evidence.
