Question: I'm a drummer that has recently picked up guitar to learn but have never understood why guitar tabs are reversed from the actual strings on the guitar. Why are the tabs not written from top to bottom as E,A,D,G,B,E? Great channel. I subbed, belled and liked. Great content.

Thanks so much for watching and subbing to the channel. That’s a good question! I’ve never really thought about that before. I guess it’s done that way because if you were to lay the guitar flat down on it’s back then the tabs would match up with the strings. But yeah I’ve never really thought about it like that before.
