This baby sea otter was born in the "Great Tide Pool" at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on 12/20/15. In case you're wondering...a baby Southern Sea Otter weighs about 10% the weight of an an adult female sea otter. The baby is not huge, usually weighing around 4-5 pounds. They look bigger because their fur is so fluffy.

I love the way the babies are almost always completely still, trying to sleep and the mothers just cannot stop fiddling and yanking them around and rearranging them. Animals don't care about such menial things, they always have a defense mechanism in place cultivated for survival. Stop thinking other humans are ignorant as you are. Everyone knows nature bites back; If someone approaches a seemingly cute but deadly animal it means they chose to, same reason we can be scared of a bug a millionth the size of a human unless we choose to approach it- we wont, we have survival mechanisms of our own. Top of the food chain y'know. We're just enjoying the beautiful aspects about life while we can.

+Connie Levenhagen Actually, I liked it better without the music. The original audio gave it a sense of being there, except for the guy talking next to you. Instead of music, you could take the background audio from one of your other Otter clips and substitute the ambient audio. I've done that before, which works pretty well. Great clip. Hope Facebook has taken the pirated version down.

I just don't know how. :/ PS--It seems that every day we find that this video has been pirated or is being misused (embedded improperly), unfortunately. We did get that one version taken down...it cost us almost 40 million views!! Thanks for letting us know.

That's too bad about the pirating. I have videos to post but hesitate because of that. As far as changing the audio, if you have a video edit program, it's just a matter of copy and paste in the audio track section. But, what you have with music will do.
