1. Don't Rock the Boat [Honor Mode Lets Play]

This is an honor mode guide? Of sorts. Basically, I’m going to be playing through honor mode and giving you guys some tips while trying to entertain, emphasis on try.
I’m no means a Original Sin 2 esports, #bigplays guy, but consider myself pretty try hard in RPGs. I’ll try to not get wiped, but you’ll be there when I do.

The builds I’m using are the ones I mentioned in my other videos, the “So You Want To” series.
The civil abilities I didn’t mention, but basically gave them where it made sense. Gave Beast Lucky Charm because he will have the most strength so he can carry the most junk. Lohse bartering since as a human she starts with 1 already. Sebille going to be half loremaster half persuasion, but will probably respec later. Fane is going into thievery because he is a source of infinite lockpicks.

yeah, in something like Skyrim even though they say you start at the bottom as a prisoner, this game you really ARE a prisoner, getting yer ass kicked by everything. Realize you're not some demigod walking, you're the guy that sets up traps and buffs his team while the bad guy is giving his villain speech. hence why I don't really feel bad that on my way out of fort joy I killed most NPC to max out loot and exp. try tactic mode, its awesome!

These videos are great, I'd even watch you just do a playthrough but I do enjoy the sort of thematic "Here is how you do X" thing. Also, I'd be interested in videos more oriented towards mid and late game tips and guides, maybe for confusing missions or secrets or something.

you can get adrenaline for free for fane or any elf at the start, just search the corpse in the right side room as soon as you leave the starting chamber, you have to sneak to search it, and theres a body part, if ur fane simply use shapeshift mask to turn into elf then eat the body part for free adren.

Here's a tip for 3:20. After you agro the guards for the extra exo you can kill all the prisoners for some more as they are not actually dead this doesn't affect the story

Bro, you don't need to pickpocket the Knocked out companions. Just kill them and take their stuff. They'll still appear on the island and you won't get any negative reputation with them. Also you could have grabbed a death fog barrel or two with Fane to cheese the Alexander fight. I'm still so peeved I have to cheese the game with fake multiplayer to get 4 custom party members right off the bat. Why can't we just do this in Single player ;-;

Pretty sure they fixed the deathfog barrels. You can't get 'em anymore.

Actually, there are seperate loot tables for pickpocketing and objects (corpses). For example: you can pickpocket skill books off of the people that sell the skill books, but if you kill them and open them, the skill books are nowhere to be found. So if you take thievery on 4 characters, you can loot a single character 5 times, assuming they have enough items to pickpocket 4 times in the first place of course.

Killing peeps doesn't drop everything they have, I think its random items in their inventory. At least in my experience when I killed shopkeepers. It was from their inventory, but it was not all of it. Stealing insures I get all of it. I don't want to cheese much in this playthrough, gonna go man mode and see how far I get.

Well that's weird, cuz when I played the tutorial I killed the companions and they dropped their potions and revive scrolls. Shopkeeps, yeah, it won't work, but I haven't ever killed a companion on the boat and NOT had them drop scrolls. Granted I only did it once, but eh. Maybe it's cuz they had less items than shopkeeps? Who knows. I appreciate you not wanting to cheese. Best of luck then! :) Still, DEATHfog ~~!

You can pick up the Deathfog barrels in the storage room with Fane/Undead. VERY useful for killing Alexander in fort Joy for example, or for any other killing purpose. You get two barrels if you're fast.

dude for the first fight at the ship-fight...you can "cheat" and make a chain till windego. so you can hit her in first turn. you have to hit windego she casts sourceoutlash instantly then.

Start up 4 instances of the game, create a multiplayer game with 1 and join with the other 3, tab while making characters, once game is started on all clients, go esc menu, party management, and assign all characters to the host profile. Now you can quit the other 3 clients and control all characters from the remaining one.

Yea! You basically have to make a pseudo multiplayer game then log out of all of those accounts. Then you can have your man account control them all.

Yea. Find the file where you downloaded it in the directory, and run the executable from there. If you try to just run it from somewhere else like steam and gog again it won't work!

this is much easier if you use all custom characters then the rest of the origin characters are there to help.

He's probably doing four Origins characters for their quests for extra experience. Plus, some of them have the extra perks here and there that help (for instance, Ifan and Beast let you get past Papa Thrash in act 2 without having to pass a persuasion check.)

Joel C My experience with lucky charm is limited to one instance on classic with it and one without. Currently playing classic at level 16 with 5 in lucky charm and I regularly find pinks in barrels, bookcases, vases and desks. I find purples and blues in these types of things more often. I sometimes get a lucky find in a chest but this doesn’t happen as frequently as when looting barrels and the like. I also found the amount of gold that is found in various lootable items including gold piles seems to be far greater with lucky harm than without. Every little bit counts! I have gotten some awesome gear from vases and barrels with it. Has been worth it for me.

But seeing how you can easily just pickpocket vendors when you really need some item or cash, doesn't that make the somewhat larger amounts of loot a bit of a waste. Or maybe the time save makes it worth while since you don't have to distract talking while your thief sneaks around behind the vendor.. I really kinda HATE this mechanic and try not to overuse it much. Shouldn't be able to do that to vendors at least.

I know this is old, but you should have split the party and sent the one to initiate the dialogue with Windigo, then start the fight, then complete the dialogue and all magisters will die and you'll get exp. No damage taken, no pots used. Edit: I shouldn't post mid vid.
