I love watching your meal prep videos for inspiration. Just a quick hack for you regarding lemon juice: peel some lemons, remove any seeds and then place in a blender. Next put the blended lemon into an ice cube tray and put in freezer to create little lemon ice cubes that you can just drop into your cooking when you need lemon juice. You will then get the healthy fiber from the lemon and not just the juice, and it is nice and quick. xXx

Thank you for this clever hack! I have a lousy fridge that I'm trying to get fixed under warranty, and my citrus fruits spoil quite quickly. This is an excellent method that I will try to preserve all of that organic goodness, pulp and fibre and prevent waste.

12 meals in 1 hour, minimal clean up. And it's healthy, you know exactly what's in it, vs takeout. Thanks Rose 😊👍

this is incredibly motivating me to meal prep (i've always *hated meal prepping* cos of how intimidating it seems) please do more timed, healthy (relatively easy) protein-packed meal prep challenges like these- i love them!

Love your "chaotic energy videos" 😂 i've learnt a lot of your cooking hacks thanks to them Also, the thing about the brown sugar vs white sugar: the nutritional differences are minimal and irrelevant, but the flavor does change a bit. Just use whatever you want. Have a nice dayy ❤

You can put a slice of bread (or just the heel of a loaf) into the bag of brown sugar, and it will soften right up.
@elenavaralta4083 ай бұрын
Or put a piece of potato peel to keep the brown sugar soft.

Sharing a DIY veggie broth. Instead of composting all of vegetable peelings, I freeze them until I'm ready to make some more homemade, oil free broth by boiling them in a large canning pot over night. In the morning, I have fresh veggie broth! When it's cooled down, I transfer the broth into glass mason jars and freeze them until I need to use them. It's really delicious and a great way to use up leftover greens, onion & garlic peelings and you can add any seasonings you like for different flavoured broths. 🙂

Great idea to make your own broth but I think it would be dangerous to leave it cooking all night. It could potentially catch on fire. I would do it during the day when you can keep an eye on it. Plus you get to enjoy that delicious smell all day.
@fairwearth6906 ай бұрын
@@myhappyvideos You bet, I do love doing it during the day as well. I should have clarified that I actually boil it before going to bed and reduce it to simmer over night. It was a hack I learned from a vegan chef KZbinr, and I haven't had any problems with burning at all. Thanks for your concern, though!

Brown sugar can be healthier than white sugar, but it can also be just white sugar with some colouring like molasses. It can be unrefined sugar, which is healthier (and in my opinion tastier) than white sugar. Depends on where you live I guess.
@lilkalilla87187 ай бұрын
cane sugar is healthier and tastier imo

I almost exclusively eat frozen veggies (except cabbage bc I can never find frozen cabbage). I'm also really picky so I always like them in lil baby pieces. So I microwave them for like 2 minutes and put them in the food processor!

You must work out a lot, Rose, or maybe my 49 years are catching up to me, lol. 😆If I had that much sugar (ketchup, pineapples and brown sugar) in a stir-fry sauce, I would gain weight so fast I'd have to work out a ton to lose it. I miss being younger, and able to lose weight as quickly as I put it on. You always look so fit and fabulous, I'm green with envy!

This is a great idea, but you don’t really need high protein. Do you even go to the gym? The maximum amount of muscle you can grow per day is one to 5 g and that’s not including the water and sugar stored inside the muscle, Carbs FTW!! 💪💪💪
