One of the disingenuous comparisons between Russian and English everyone discuss is that there are twelve (and up to 16, depending who you ask) tenses, while Russian had only three (время). Извините, хотя точно правильно, everyone misses the other verbal aspects that are unique: perfective verbs, which adds two tenses; and reflexive verbs, which adds another two tenses - that's a total of seven. Anything else? Oh, yeah, transitive and intransitive verbs. Your lexicon for verbs of motion just exploded into the atmosphere.
