You were the first one I found on KZbin and started getting the supplies you had recommended, the brushes, the paper, paints and of course I got one of your books also. I started this watercolor journey about 8 months ago. This is perfect. Flowers are such a challenge for me. I can do landscapes, oceanscapes, and so on....they come quite easy but not perfect. I do not understand why botanicals are such a challenge. I really appreciate the large close up. I can definitely see the detail so much better.

Hey Penny! I also love painting landscapes, but when I first started out painting flowers the book that helped me the most is Jenna’s everyday watercolor flowers. She breaks down the flower shapes in each chapter. So instead of thinking of a super hard orchid flower think of it as a basic star ⭐️ (The book explains this better than me 💭 📖 ) All the best with your watercolour journey!

Well if I can get myself to put a brush to paper I’d be fine. I actually put the tube paint in the palette last week. Took me 2 weeks to do that. I was concerned that I’d put them in the wrong order. Still not convinced. I guess if I find out it’s wrong I could rearrange them. I don’t know the problem, I’ve made and sold stained glass mosaic for years. This is just so delicate and precious.
