The 360 generation, particularly the early years of it, were such of a fun time. I had a closely-knit group that I played with almost every day. Over time, some of us moved on to playing mostly on other platforms, and others got busy with life and mostly stopped gaming altogether and lost touch. I do kinda miss those days.

The nostalgia is nice and all. But the 360 brought the birth of microtransactions. That and the red rings of death are unforgivable black marks on the consoles legacy. I will never look at Gen 7 as the pinnacle of gaming.

@@fullmetalbleachnote Idk bro. Idk if xbox parties/chats are still a thing anymore, but to hop online with one friend, just to meet up to 6-7 newer people in a chat room you could make at a moments notice was an AMAZING feature that was genius for xbox to throw in/ Like @SynthTCG said, 10/10 nostalgia points for me
@fullmetalbleachnote Жыл бұрын
@smokagaming it's nostalgic for me as well But I'm even more fond of the generation before when I bought the game and got the entire product with no catches. I didn't have to be online to play the damn thing The game had to run well and be super polished because there were no patches Skins used to be an unlock you earned, not over $20 each for anything worthwhile. The games also couldn't release with barely any content with the promise of free updates later as long as the game makes money first. I really like the social aspect of online gaming early on but online gaming's final form is battle passes, 20 dollar skins and barebones launches. I look at the PS3/360 as the beginning of the end. DLC ruined this industry lmao.
@Moli05 Жыл бұрын
@@fullmetalbleachnotewhat's wrong with battle passes? For paid games then yeah, it's wrong. But for free to play games who cares, you don't have to buy the skins, they're optional. Thanks to dlc we have the episodes of half life 2, red dead zombies or the expansions of GTA 4. A lot of new games use it as well and it's a great thing to expand the content of a game that you already own for cheap
