I think the annoying part was just him using designs other people made. He’s using Shade’s armor design and Scourge’s design (he only made Evil Sonic, which was Sonic in sunglasses and a leather jacket.) Like if you’re going to follow the line of thought that independent creators should own the work they do for larger companies… don’t claim the designs done by OTHER creatives in similar positions as your own? Dude is a hypocrite.

I said this b4 but penders had every right to sue over his work and it was archie who dropped the ball by misplacing his (and i believe other's) contracts. However Penders has been super delusional with the popularity of his work and his demands were unreasonable. On top of everything else he's a sore winner, putting his character in the noctus armor and gloating about the whole situation and getting into petty pissing matches on twitter over Sega's small acknowledgement of shade

I thought the killing blow was the second Megaman crossover, Worlds Unite, flopping because Archie spent too much on licensing different franchises for an event that didn’t pan out very successfully.

Yeah, i agree actually, and i don't even like super hero related stuff and even i was getting interested. Probably because i like open world and games that show change for your actions, positive or negative. It looked like a good time and maybe i have taken the chance to know the character of flash a bit better, maybe it could have introduced me to this vast world of heroes but idk. Yeah, that was a real shame.

I wonder what the retention rate for these videos is. When falling asleep, I set a timer for playback to stop after an hour, but the next day I often I find I haven't really processed more than 5, maybe 10 minutes past where I started the video. So I end up watching 10 hours to finish a 2 hour video. Protip: If you're listening on Android, there's apps that automatically mute ads and skip them when possible. A lifesaver when trying to doze off.

Okay, let me get this straight: the guys that worked on Goliath had one of their team members commit actual art plagiarism and instead of commissioning new art for the game that guy is using potentially stolen art while telling potential backers and publishers, "oh yeah, by the way, some of this stuff might be stolen." Are you nuts? Just get new art! It _really_ makes me think that he already knew and played it off. And before someone says it, he'll lose way more money on potential deals than he will on just hiring a new artist to get the work done. Holy hell...

I don't think he is showing it to publishers, but as part of his portfolio of projects he worked, and explains that plagiarism by another memeber of the team is part of the reasons it was canceled.

@FerHardRocker No, the way he explained it was the person plagiarizing the art had to be confronted, they denied it until they were shown undeniable proof, and they then left. He then continued to show the art to potential backers while explaining _that_ exact scenario to them. He is by no means a trustworthy narrator, but that's the way he explained it. Even if he did keep the art in a portfolio that's not excusable, for all intense and purposes it's stolen art. He should commission new art.
